When you decide that you want to make more money, do you focus your efforts on -- Increasing income? Decreasing expenses? Acquiring assets? Eliminating liabilities?

The common misconception of financial freedom is having a high income/high paying job. However, as Kim states, financial freedom is the state in which your assets cover ALL of your expenses. When your assets are working for you with little to no time commitment from you, and are paying for all of your bills, light, gas, rent, car etc., you are worry free. This then allows you to commit time to your passions without the fear of not being able to cover the expenses. This is how the rich get rich. They buy their time back with their assets and are able to pursue new things, new opportunities! Unfortunately, we were taught by the school systems and our parents that getting a high paying job and benefits was the only key towards financial freedom. We must not work for money but work to have money work for us. The only way to do this is by acquiring assets.

Part of success is spending habits. Many spend beyond their means, constantly feeding their wants through frivilous purchases and often make purchases on credit with monthly payment plans accruing interest until their debts are paid off. Add this to the fact that many people make liability purchases instead of asset purchases. Example, a car used or new is a liability purchase. An investement into a company's equity share is an asset. This is especially done during tax season when people tend to get back a few hundred, and even thousands od dollars at once. No planning, self educating on finances and ivestments equal bad spending habits multiplied many times. When you know better you do better.

Car a liability? It gets me to work and back. 3500 dollar car. Driven for 4 years. 2000 Nissan Maxima. Went from 100k miles to 170k. Still running strong.
@14kurtismiller
@14kurtismiller 4 жыл бұрын
@@jerrylisby5376 Unless the car makes you money for its expenses say Uber or Lyft yes, it is a liability and a necessity for some people. It is great that you stuck with the car for so long. No need in having a leased car not paid off, your insurance would only be higher than what you pay now as a result.
@jerrylisby5376

@@14kurtismiller well the car is an investment in me. It's my partner. It gets me to work where I make money. It never complains. It stays in the driveway until I'm ready for it. It never fails me. I couldn't make any money without it unless I work from home. I have no payments. A little maintenance. Only liability insurance. If the car is a liability, it is a very low cost one. My insurance is 260 a year. It gets 27 miles to the gallon. I wash the car myself.

I have been listening to Rich Dad videos regularly for about 4 months; I have finished one book and am listening to another; and now I've bought the Cash Flow boardgames. My thinking has already begun to change, and I thank you so much for that. In fact, I'm now looking around me and trying to determine what would be some assets I can acquire/create/grow. I look forward to where God and I will go with this new viewpoint.

cash flow can be generated in many forms . Another mans thrash is another mans treasure or Buy a reasonable car with low miles on it, from a private seller who needs to sell it, tidy it up and on sell it for a profit .Find an old house on a large block of land with development potential ,put an option to purchase on it with no deposit, no finance for say a time frame 12 to 15 months ,get all the approvals for the development and on sell the property to a developer for a profit. If you have trees on your block that need to be removed, place an add in the paper or face book etc- come and remove trees for fire wood $$ .. per tree. Cash flow is every were to add to your passive income. A great way to put extra money away to fuel your investment. Learn about collectables, Art ,coins stamps, antiques, all money making ventures .Buy the way you can make huge amounts of money from special breeds of dogs, or by being a part owner in a race horse the list goes on...

While other sources such as bonds, stocks are giving less cash flow. But in real life without any regular income bank won't allow to borrow loan at starting when you don't have any assets how to solve this problem. Please help me

I have the Android game. I dont even bother w real estate in game. I buy as much stocks as i can afford and every price except the listed high price. Then sell at the listed high price, or higher (sometimes it will go $10higher) game is capped out at 99,999 shares of any one share buy max limit. i played for a few hrs to see if it would let my bank get up to ten mil - yes. Then 100mil - yrs. I Didnt go past that.

DUH CAT knows , Just go live with richer people. Monthly income from Royalties from writing, Videos, Music, Acting, and so on is a great way to make money for a long time. Assets are not only objects. Less talented go for rental properties which require reduced effort. I know a man who built 2 houses a year. he had no employees. 1 to rent out and 1 to sell. After 20 years that is 20 rental units and the profit from selling 20 houses. He never had a job after his apprenticeship. Retired at 50.

Its easy said but when you focus on income you got allot of jobs open for you but when you focus on assets there s nothing like invoice for you waiting for some one who want to focus on assets its more like create your own start a bussnis and fail 100 times after that you may finally see some income and afther that you can go for safe and invest in real estate that my opinion about it please let me know if i see it wrong. Ps at the end of the day reason of making this video aint just educate people but to sell the game ofcourse.
