Great tip on the water! I was almost hosiptalized last summer for heat stroke hunting all day on a 100 degree day. water and take breaks and cool down in every creek.

Wish I had the sense to dunk my vest the other day! I went out Wednesday at a wma middle ga area. I was toasted after. What’s a better strategy when hog hunting, go trough the open path between wooded areas and cover more ground or do you pick a thick area that has good sign and stalk through it? Seems like I spent way too much time in the thickest areas when I could have been covering ground. I’m sure experience goes a long way.

Covering ground is the best way to go. When it comes to thick areas unless It’s an area I know hogs hang out in or seeing plenty of sign on the outside of it I normally will walk past them. The more miles you can put down the better your odds.
