I decided this year not to decorate my monthly spreads -- I am letting the Etta Vee EC shine through! I do use more functional labels in the monthly in the color that matches the EC monthly colors. I usually go all out for my weekly spread in the EC vertical. I love PK kits and use them often but I am also on a quest to use up some of my washi and stickers. So at least one week each month is a DIY with random stickers, etc.

I love hearing your method for using up what you have and still enjoying new kits too! Thanks for watching and chiming in:)

I am a sticker girly! I love decorating my planner each week. But I switched from the EC vertical to a Sprouted horizontal and I'm struggling with how to decorate it. It seems like most of the planner stickers are for vertical layouts. I'm still experimenting but would enjoy a video on decorating a horizontal layout. 😊

Thanks for sharing where you are stuck right now...maybe someone else that decorates a horizontal will chime in with some tips! I would personal just use washi strips, washi tape, and maybe an add on sheet and or decorative stickers.

@AmandasFavorites Good idea. I used to decorate my EC to the max! I think I need to be more minimalist. 😄

the books kit is cute! I am not a sticker kit person by nature. I usually get my stickers and washi from Hobby Lobby and do bits of decor here and there. Sometimes I get scrapbook paper (like ones with music notes) and then copy it onto sticker paper and cut it into washi strips to mark off band/chorus practices for my kids.

Oh my gosh, thank you!! The functional vs pretty debate drives me endlessly crazy. As a chronic overthinker, I debate my options:: well, I could have a functional monthly, I could have 47 different planners going at the same time. Essentially, I do best as a functional planner---one who fantasizes about pretty planning. Please help me to walk the middle path. For sanity's sake xo aka patreon Carla

It can be so tough to find a balance! This video is for you then! 😊 I hope it will help you when you get into that inner debate again Carla! xxx

I am a functional planner who likes pretty. Here is how I achieve both. 1. All my planners have pretty covers which make them a joy to use. 2. My Health and Wellness planner is already pretty inside. A different artist's picture is the basis of each weekly and monthly spread. 3. In my daily planner I use washi to highlight special days or the beginning of the month. I use coloured pens to make tasks or appointments stand out. My brain delights in colour. 4. In my Budget Planner, I put two strips of washi on each weekly page. On the monthly spread I use a washi top and bottom that coordinates with the month -- red for Valentine's Day and Christmas, green for March. If there is room in the corner, I might place an occasional sticker. 5. I use scrapbook paper to decorate the covers of inexpensive planners or notebooks to make them a joy to use. I buy pretty washi or stickers or paper when I see them, so have a good supply, but mostly, I'm planning, not decorating. But there's enough "pretty" going on to keep me happy and to keep me using my planners. Last year was the first year I tracked all my expenses for an entire year, so I'm using the same system again this year. Undated Weekly Budget Planner by Peter Pauper Press from Amazon.

This was so fun. I went on PlannerKate to see what the options might be. Unfortunately...she doesn't have sprouted...do you think the Erin Condren daily duo 7x9 would be comparable? Just your opinion - i wouldn't hold you responsible 😅. The prices seemed very reasonable! I loved the options.
@AmandasFavorites10 күн бұрын
Obviously it wouldn't be an exact fit because of layout and Sprouted is about 6x almost 9 page size...but I think it would be worth a try to see how you like it and what fits:) Let me know if you do they those kits and how they work in Sprouted. If that doesn't work then just some of her add on sheets will work in any planner:)

I am shocked at how expensive these stickers are! I thought it was the price for the monthly set, but it was only for one of the pages. No thank you.
@susannek45469 күн бұрын
that is precisely why I go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's to get what I need for decorative planning. Even with discounts, the sticker kits get to be pretty pricey when you keep doing them every month.
