Dude it’s so cool seeing you here, haha. I want to learn backside 50-50’s so bad. I can do frontside but not BS. I wanna learn FS boards next tho too. Haha BS smiths are way too intimidating. Did you end up getting the smiths?

Man. When I was a kid I would’ve been amazed by this: one of the best pros in the world teaching you legit, practical tips right on your phone. For some reason I never learned feebles growing up, I don’t know why I neglected them. I guess it’s because The Incline Club skatepark (bike oriented) I was always at only had down-rails, I didn’t get many chances to skate flatbars, so I learned most tricks on down-rails. Feebles scared me in that context. Parks back in the early 2000s, in my area, were few and far between and mostly sucked. The parks today are so sick.

I needed this so bad. 38 abandoned impact for the most part and grew up with small town parks and the the big square rails. But they just built a new park with only round and I know in heart I could do feebs and smiths and 50 variations if I'd just quit being scared of the roundness. I can Smith ledges and feeb blocks and I've felt the cool roll over lock-in round rails provide cause I can front willy 😅 well on them at the new park surprisingly. But man I'm hoping these tips will help me with the confidence. Again I can Smith or 50 to front broad square rails but round is sketchy. (Edit: oh and boardslides on round have been no issue.)

Right when he mentioned leaving out some tricks i immediately thought of noseslide. When I was a kid I never wanted to try those on any type of round rail. When u do a nose slide on a ledge there’s really no balanced involved u just slap it into place & gold all your weight over the foot that’s on the nose. Doing it on a rail seems like it would be a hell of a lot different. On a round rail u have to be balanced the second u get onto it
