This situation was bound to come out, his talent would fill the rinks in the KHL. Demidov's resolve explains his limited ice time. It's unfortunate but the kid's exposure to adversity will only make him a mentally stronger player when he starts his NHL career. He could dominate the KHL right now that only confirms that this player is going to be a star in the NHL.

I'm thinking this is a SKA thing, Kaprizov didn't have that issue, the Khusnutdinov situation was crazy. They cut his minutes to nothing then dumped him. Yurov is getting treated more like Kaprizov did. The difference seems to be who plays for SKA and who doesn't

No it's not true... KHL teams are fighting for the cup and are assembling a squad for these tasks. The development of young players is a priority for literally two teams (Torpedo and Metallurg). Welcome to the KHL kid idk why anyone is surprised by this it took Michkov 3 years until he finally established himself in the KHL and even then Moscow sent him to a terrible Sochi team so he would play. This is Demidovs 1st actual season in the KHL he would probably be in a similar spot next season. Its why the Michkov Demidov comparisons were so silly Michkov played 2 years in the KHL like this before he finally had a chance to put up real nunbers and he was the same age as Demidov is rn when he did that hes so far ahead of Demidov and Montreal needs to get Demidov out of the KHL ASAP because next year will be a lot of the same bs that a lot of these kids have to go through

Demidov is puting up pts with no powerplay and ice time. And it's not that we're surprised it's just stupid to bench one of your best players. If this was the NHL and demidov was puting up pts with no ice time then he'd be promoted to the top 6 and not be benched over 1 turnover

There are many extreme Habs fans or trolls that make regular fans that know hockey look bad. It's true that Demidov hasn't matched Michkov's numbers in a single season yet in their careers. He's never been on Michkov's level yet and there's no reason to think he'll suddenly get to Michkov's level upon entering the NHL, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment by expecting that. You also have to take into account Demidov is basically playing on a KHL All-star team that scores much more than most other teams, they won some of their recent games 9-1 and 8-0. He's 4th on the team in scoring with 6 more players all within 1-3 points behind him, way more high scoring players than any other team, I would expect a lesser prospect to produce more in these conditions than a better prospect trying to carry a shitty team, but he still can't match Michkov's pace. Contrary to what homer fans say Demidov does get ice time, he averages over 10 minutes/game. He plays 15+ minutes when he's playing well and under 5 minutes when he makes many mistakes.

Look at it from SKA perspective, they're trying to make a team. There isn't much incentive building teamwork and chemistry between players when one of them is leaving to NHL next season. That was Michkov's situation and it's now Demidov's too. Perfectly normal situation.
