Kia wants to scale up the capability and usefulness of the electric skateboard-style chassis. The automaker is showing its new PBV or Platform Beyond vehicle design. This is a platform that allows a vehicle to perform multiple different functions on an as-needed basis. #Autotrader

GM tried this, never made it into production but I think some of the lessons learned led to the alpha platform.
