If Kia were to unveil their trade secrets related to extreme endurance testing, they might conduct additional evaluations that they prefer to keep under wraps to prevent competitors from gaining insights. Kudos to Kia for their efforts!

Ultimately, it will arrive or be built in NA. It just needs more "field test" data from extreme environments like UAE and Australia. In the meantime, they will change their production line in GA. They will perfect it before it shows up to any "doubters." KIA can not ignore the biggest market and the home of the pickup truck. Hope Tasman will win the truck of the year! I'm rooting for KIA!

I look forward to it! Pretty daring to launch a brand new recreational pick up in 2024 with leaf springs, but I'm sure you guys have evaluated the options. I'm ready to be surprised :)

Tasmania is named after the dutch explorer Abel Tasman, and the Tasman Sea lies between Australia and New Zealand, both countries being in the target market for the new ute.

I'm pretty sure they have that in their road map, but as a sale for toyota's sequoia is struggling. They have to be more creative not to be in that mud pit.

Could've used multi-link live axle suspension in the rear instead of leaf springs. But if the price is good then it will be very interesting. Maybe make a SUV version too. Body-on-frame SUVs are always cool.

I’m really excited for this, I think competition is always a good thing and I hope Kia knocks it out of the park! One thing I see in that video that worries me is pretty poor articulation. If they want to be good off-road, they can’t rely too much on the traction control to try and compensate for poor traction.

I hope it’s not a tech monster. We really need simple, affordable, reliable trucks. Should be able to get a base model with 4x4 reasonably equipped in the low 30s. A miracle would be high 20s. But would love something like a base truck with full time 4wd and triple locker, skids, proper ground clearance and off road tires, standard LED lighting, and a simple interior. Hoping for a NA v6 or diesel but I bet it will be a turbo 4.

I don't care about trivialities and technology. I care about it being a powerful car for tough conditions. I rely on it for everything I need. And don't let me down. If you do, it will go down in history and leave its mark. My words are a wave to Kia, if you have been patient this long and you are lagging behind the competitors. If it can't handle the tough conditions, don't be disappointed. Hope in you and you will become a laughing stock in front of competitors

다 좋은데 디자인만 클래식한 느낌을 살리면서 나왔으면 좋겠는데...뭔가 너무 양옆으로 치우쳐저 있는게 상당히 옛날 RAM보다 더 과장된 느낌이랄까...두꺼비를 넘어서 매기같은 느낌이 들어서 불안하네...그냥 랜드로버 디4나 올드 디펜더나 지바겐 처럼 그냥 각형으로 클래식하게 나오면 진짜 좋을거 같은데.
