This movie was very enjoyable. I really like the " kid sister" . Love her voice, and the way she talks! I guess that's Judy Clark. I don't remember ever seeing her in any other movies.

So sad that Hollywood is complicit with the degenerate condition of the masses for the past 50-60 years. They negatively affected adolescence, innocence and lessened decency & morality. And the Church did nothing but join in. Pray for America to turn back to Jesus.

You know it's the 40s when housemaids wear black heels on the job, ladies of the house wear night robes made of satin with furs, burglars and decent men alike wear suits, and people speak clearly using proper English words and correct grammar.
@melodysledgister24684 жыл бұрын
Some of that was just in the movies, not real life, even in the 40's. It was idealized. It's the ideals that have changed. I was raised in the days of June Cleaver, but my mom didn't dress or act like June Cleaver did in her TV home.

Nowadays you get the movie and that's it maybe a few ads about overpriced burgers, colas and popcorn available at the kiosk then quick as you can watch the film and get out much like a cattle market... ...and many times the audiences would applaud at lest at the end of a film. Acknowledging a good job of acting is a natural response, and just because it's a flm doesn't mean applause is unnecessary. It bonds the audience of mostly strangers, adding a nice touch of social graciousness!

Gotta love this low budget comedy. Roger Pryor looks old enough to be too old for either sister. I’ll take the older sister with the slinky low cut black dress. Great movie.

As the youngest of three sisters I just want to say the competitive sister thing is a myth. Maybe it gets competitive when there are just two children, but my sisters and I never competed for male attention, we were allies and supported each other. Sorry.
@HiWayLady494 жыл бұрын
Different families, different life styles. I am the oldest of three, and we were in constant competition. Except that I never realized it. Being oldest put me in charge of keeping eveyone else 'good'. Which made me the unpopular sister. I wanted to break rules and have fun, too, but as the oldest it was also my 'moral' duty to be a good example. (heavy sigh) My middle sister was always hanging around our mother like a cat. I never could understand why 'she' got the prettiest clothes. Why 'she' got permission to do something that as the oldest I didn't get to do. Then there was the 'baby'! Who was jealous because she wanted to be FIRST!! And she was. First to marry. First to have a baby. First to divorce. First grand baby, and First great grandbaby. And because I was in no hurry, I was always last. Never in a hurry to be like everyone else. I might have been 4 yrs older than both of them, but I got short shrift.... I just didn't realize it at the time unless someone pointed it out to me. I never considered myself that pretty. I just didn't realize that both of my sisters were jealous of me, either. And my baby sister liked MY boyfriends. Reading this it sounds a little sad. But with the right technique, it would make a delightful comedy for the 40s-50s-or even 60s (which is when this took place) LOL This is one of those things you learn about when sisters get together during their middle years and laugh about those 'old days'. Yeah. There was plenty of competitions, jealousies, criticisms and sticking together times. We were fortunate. And we haven't changed a whole lot over the years.

this movie is so bad that its fun to watch. the dialogue is atrocious. the acting other than the male lead is amateurish but what the heck.
@aadamtx5 жыл бұрын
What's up with the young women in this family? The Kid Sister is roughly 20, the older sister maybe a few years older, and they're both after a guy who's in his early 50s and frankly not much of a catch (although he has money - but then so do the sisters). Best thing about the film is Minerva Urecal, the housekeeper, who keeps the dialogue rolling. Most of the other actors are forgettable and had very limited careers.
