well, pearl is right about having a defensive base. all you really need is an axe, lava bucket, pearls, and anything for combat. Pearl out if times get desperate, axe to break the topmost ladder block, and maybe the one just below it for safety, and a lava bucket to ensure no one else will climb the ladder.

@@airplanes_aren.t_real 2 problems: 1) watervator (at least if can outheal any damage the liquid of choice does). 2) flame. Fire tick is on, and lava can catch wood on fire (hence the extra safety block broken). That is without considering how it will affect damage output, as liquid and arrows dont really mix, while lava also creates a curtain of blindness leading to lack of knowledge about raid status. are they retreating? getting reinforcements? building a specialized tnt cannon? scaffolding/pillaring up above the defenses (which would be easy to counter with arrows)? Trying to build a nether connector? Using pearls? Maybe it also stops incoming projectiles and/or fishing hook pull, but is that worth the lack of information and other above problems?

@@cullenlatham2366 thanks I didn't really think about it from a strategic perspective, I'm pretty sure you could still make a curtain of laca around the base by placing the lava around the cobblestone edge but it will require a lot of iron and a trip to the nether so probably not worth it, consider the position it might be best to invest in reinforcements and an exit strategy

@@airplanes_aren.t_real the pearls were listed exactly for the purpose of an escape strategy, and one that would be hard to beat. Ignoring the initial warp damage, the height of the throw means it will likely outrange any attempts to intercept the attackers (even if they see the moment of the pearl throw, will they be able to reach the landing point before the pearl or otherwise quickly enough to give chase? if they do give chase, that leaves the main entrance unguarded for the slower escapees to flee from instead). The only real threat from the pearls would be warping to an unideal and dangerous spot like the bottom of a ravine that may or may not be filled with enough water to drown them, surviving until the pearl lands in the dangerous place (throwing it a bit too late), or knowing this server, a pit of zombies. XD
