A bright light has gone out, but Cala’s sweet little voice will go meow for eternity! 🌟😿 Cala's human, Elizabeth, adopted Cala thinking she was very young. I too believed she was just a kitten. But after Cala became sick, her age became apparent with the problems the vets discovered, and after doing some tests they suspected she was around 12. Although they were optimistic & Cala fought hard her condition was not improving & she ultimately passed away in Elizabeth's arms due to old age. Please join me in thanking Elizabeth for adopting Cala - for taking her off the streets, giving her a home & for sharing Cala's unique antics with the world. She brightened all of our lives, and she will continue to do so even though she is no longer with us. Elizabeth had this to say “You all have allowed Cala to live on forever. I'm a 55 year old male who has tears in his eyes right now for little Cala, and all the other furry family cat pals I've known over the years since childhood...Pussah, Misty, Finbarr, Humphrey, Smudge, Mickey, Mandy, Fergus, Hamish...forever in my heart. And nowadays I have little Bella keeping me company, a beautiful Bengal girl who was born in Italy but somehow made it to Scotland where events led to me giving her a home. She goes everywhere with me, on walks to the beach and a nearby botanical garden. Every cat I've ever known have all been very different little characters. I loved you all and carry your memory in my heart with me always.

My 19 month daughter has been handing me the remote almost everyday saying, "MEOW MEOW", which is her way of wanting me to turn on THIS particular song for her to enjoy. My kitten has to be separated from my dog at night because they play too rough sometimes, and I worry he will accidentally get hurt without supervision. Well, tonight, my kitten was crying at my bedroom door to get out, so I played Cala's song to see what he would do. This will now be his bedtime song because he jumped on my bed and went to sleep towards the end. I had no idea she had passed, RIP sweet girl. This song has randomly gotten stuck in my head ever since I first heard it. Whenever my daughter catches me singing it, she laughs. Cala's voice will live on forever. Sorry for your loss.

@@RonLarhz Her body eventually failed due to the stresses of life and nature's sometimes unfortunate arrangement in health. The 'creator' or 'god' or 'the great spirit' led her to be cared for by some of his own caretakers, to flower into the life we see here. Not a fault of 'god', just a life with twists and turns like many of us deal with on a daily, even hourly, basis. The flesh is imperfect but can flourish with care and love.
