Yes, yes, that's it, this is crucial here... 😸 My old Meu, from my childhood, a Manx cat with a funny little taile 😻, was one out of 3 kittens in a litter, in a house of family friends. When mum and I came to choose which kitten we'll take, one of them went into another room. I went after him, and he bit me 😸, a little bit. And I said - this one! This one - with an attitude - will be my mate, my childhood's friend. And he was. Merry Christmas to everyone! On 2 or on the 4 legs... 🥳🤝

This reminds me of our first family cat. We were dog people, but we found a stray kitten in my sister’s driveway in Rome, Ga., in 1996. I said I would take it home to Knoxville because I knew all kinds of “cat people.” Well,no one would take it, so I ended up with Georgia. When I took it in to get it fixed, it came out Roman. My whole family was in love. He was a bitey-boy, too, who loved the sound of cracking Limoges boxes and smashing lamps. He lived 18 years and, I believe, died of grief after my dad died. I still miss that stink pot. His full name was Roman Augustus Georgino Mio Stinker Pinker Love Bug (we are Wodehouse and E.F. Benson fans).

I used to live in Rome, Georgia! Right before the place the bypass went in. Lets see, I think it was 75 South and then Highway 58? 58 Burton Road, NE, right across the street from Trinity Baptist Church. I think that old Baptist church is still there, but the hundred year old house is gone.

The memories of my fur baby when we rescued him at aroud 8 weeks, he was so shy. Within 3 days, he was using a litter tray and he started snuggling. He woke me up once licking my eye, and he became a little whirlwind who loved playing fetch

My Maine Coon loves to play fetch… WITH THE DOG!!! Hazel will bring her ball and top it in front of Sir Jasper… he will then smack the ball causing it to go rolling across the floor… Hazel will chase it and bring it back and drop it in front of him for him to smack it! 'Such a different dynamic from the first features of the kitten. I guess those where when the novelty wore off and Cat realized he'd have to be more of an adult and wouldn't have as much alone time for himself. It is still nice to know that when they first met he was very caring and welcoming.

Even before The human had adopted his cat, the sass was strong.. When the cat jumped onto his back with it's sharp claws I started laughing because that's exactly what my kitten does to me. Lol 😂😂

Oh I know! My rescue is about 5 months old now, & she’s the first cat I’ve had who loves to “ride” on my back or shoulders. 😅 When she changes positions or dismounts, sometimes she digs a little too deep & catches a tender part of my neck… yOWzA!! It hurts!! Now I have a pretty good strategy when she “hops on,” but it took a lot of epic fails. Sometimes I just hold her with one hand from underneath like a serving tray, high over my head as we walk throughout the house & she loves it! 😅 (We have super high ceilings.) As long as she’s up high (Queen of the world) 😆, she’s great!

@@rOnda88 I have a number of cat holds. I scoop one up from behind with my hand going underneath her back legs, and then I tuck her next to my body-that’s called “The Kitty Football Carry”. I also grasp a kitty under the belly, with one hand in front of her back legs and the other hand behind her front legs, then stretch her out long and hold her high up in the air: that’s called “Show Kitty”. Of course she loves all of these kitty carries.

I’ve seen most of these but I still watched the whole thing. Very cute. Loved the part when Simon’s cat gets left at the stray cat facility and the poor woman who ends up with a bandaid on her finger. Apparently Simon didn’t see the “this cat scratches” sticker on the door. And loved that the bird toy was featured to show where Simon’s cat ends up playing with Simon to ask for forgiveness.

Aw what a lovely story. I love the details in it, for example the unscratched furniture in Simons house because there is not a cat living there. The picture with his first cat in childhood was clearly the one which made his wish come up of having a cat again - so sweet and puts the attention right what was missing in the house :) Playing with the little kitten in the shelter is so adorable and we all know this cat will be the one for him :)

I was 10. I was building an airfix model of HMS Victory which I placed carefully in the bottom of a sliding door display cabinet my mother had. I had been adopted by the local doctor's siamese since she lost her tail in a road accident and they got a dog. I am sure I shut that sliding door. Guess what? Dear Simon, I just love your shorts (short films!!!). They make meow-mies like me smile. I have one small request. Though Simon dearly loves Cat and Kitten it would really send a positive message if future shorts show that Cat, Kitten, Teddy and other cats wear collars (a thin dark line around the base of the neck surely can't take that much time to draw). It would, in a small way, underscore the fact that Simon is truly a responsible pet dad.

I love the fact that you don't need to know any language to understand what happens in these animation... I remember downloading those videos form this channel on my sh**y phone (I had to convert the videos to a specific format and it was a real pain and also back then there were only in black and white).
