The first time I heard The Killers nearly 20 years ago, I knew they were a special band that would have a long adventuresome career , I unlike most critics at the time ( whom have done a 180 since )thought ' Sam's Town ' was one of the greatest rock albums ( vinyl for me ) in a long time , I can clearly see a huge Springsteen influence , not just in sound but, in showmanship and a pure joy in Flowers that he gets from performing for the fans that give him the opportunity to make a living for doing what he loves, it is rare these days ( and really always has been ) that the artist gives a sh#t about their fans , they quickly take it for granted and feel " we should be so lucky " .. I do fear rock and roll is slowly becoming a thing of the past but, The Killers give me hope.. There are other bands too but, The Killers make me feel ( I'm 50 ) like I first felt in 1984 watching MTV ( back when the " M" was for " music "! ) seeing for the first time my super hero Springsteen dancing like a white man with 4 minutes before the world was going to end and that massive black dude in red ( hitting the tambourine!.. the sax was at end) exploding my ( 14 year old ) heart, my mind, my soul .. So much energy ! I had no idea what " Dancing In The Dark " meant but, I knew I found a way to escape the " doom " around me.. I thought I would never recapture anything close to the way I felt back then but , some 20 years later I have felt "a little of Gloria! ".. Thanks to The Killers for keeping the wheels and the spirit of rock and roll going ..( I stopped my story at ' Sam's Town ' but, I have thoroughly enjoyed everything they have done since !)

A friend of mine saw The Killers perform in a pub in Camden, London well before they were famous, and knew they were gonna be big stars. Please check the band at Glastonbury festival 2019 the full set is still on youtube, Brandon sings with Pet Shop Boys and Johnny Marr, it was fabulous and the Glastonbury crowd were fantastical as always

Also an amazing live version of runaways that made me want to cry from Brandon flowers amazing and impassioned voice. I will buy concert tickets for the killers as the budget allows. I'm sixty one years old and love alternative rock.

I would love to see the killers live. They're by far my favorite band! They sound so good, Brandon is so incredibly talented, Dave is one of the best guitarists I've ever heard, Mark is an impressive bassist, and Ronnie is amazing on drums. I love them so much! The first time I heard the killers song was "When You Were Young". It was inserted into the mad of the Japanese anime "Gadguad" posted on KZbin by anyone. I thought it was like The Cars and looked up the artist. I now like The Killers song as well. The voice is very cool.
