their version of venus in furs didn't convince but this is much better. the break is very cool, thoughtful. I read about lou's teen & college years in deCurtis book. lou was seriously fucked-up. all the songs it turns out are for real. lou mentioned a couple of novels he was working on. I wonder what became of those. (the erector set and untitled charlie chan take-off.)
