Love the new W900s. Peterbuilt made a big mistake with the requirement for the digital dash on the 389 and now 589. The digital dash can leave you stranded if faults. Keep it simple / keep it reliable.

That is a beautiful W900L Studio! I love everything about it except the missing couch! I love the herd bumper, too! That I one thing I'd love to have on a truck, especially here in Washington.D.C. where we get habitual brake-checkers. That's something very needed around here, so I can tear their asses up and have no damage, lol! I also love that VIT around the steering column, etc. That'll definitely help with hitting the knee when hopping in, lol! The truck is all out sexy! It has a full gauge package, no screens and digital dash, which I hate. The only thing I've never heard of is that mid-frame marker light. I wonder what's the purpose? I was also surprised that it didn't have airbags on the steers. I'm so used to seeing it on newer trucks now. Nonetheless, good job!

Does it also require another carb or epa sticker with CA map on it saying certified clean idle ? If you could clarify if you know thanks

Is it possible to build w990 with 235 wheel base? I haul super B petroleum retail as company driver in Mack Anthem. I love my automatic. But i dont understand why they spec 12 speed with 3:58. With Average 6.5mpg. Since Cummins gobbled up Meritor. Is their automatic superior to volvo? Thank you

First owed truck was a W900L with 72” single bunk. Every Pete guy I ran with could scale up to and in excess of 1k more than I could. And I spec’d the W9 out myself. 900L’s are awesome rides. Peterbilt has it figured out though when it comes to weight.
@allanmccullough85502 ай бұрын
@@ryanfennewald5661 That hood is heavy and the suspension components are probably the biggest contributing factors. Dry weight on my 1996 379 is 17,330 lbs and right at 20k with 330 gallons of fuel road ready. I could load 50k on a Reitnouer flatbed and be at 80k with full tanks.

So I have a question not just for Andy the Kenworth guy but for anybody that has a 2024 or newer W 900 L in order to put those three watermelon lights on do you have to remove the factory stainless steel shields
@BigBoyRigs21 күн бұрын
I didn't remove mine. I put the lights under it to make it reflect off of the stainless steel. It still shines bright. Most people do remove the shield though.

You know American trucks are crap when his talking about shaking headlights, sagging front fenders, cracks in the paint, when you see a small fan in the cabin, when you need to put the arm rests away to be able to move in the cab, when you see hundreds of gauges all over the dash. But the paint is glossy. Lol!!

irrelevant comment yet, 205,000 on first set of steer tires which still had tread. vibrations at 55-57mph caused replacement. Impressive. edit: 37yrs in trucking. 20+ years in hazmat chemical tankers/ 5yrs in oversized. The rest wasted doing common hauling.

mate. i am european and been in almost every truck. i have looked at your american trucks and some of the new ones look ok, this truck is 2025 it looks like from 1985. i have looked at other w900 maybe tought its only this year NO ITS NOT each friking year yall make the same truck there is nothing to look at. look how much 164L scania from 90s changed to new gen or how 2012 daf xf105 looks now 100 year difference. your still stuck in 1985 thinking its cool NO its not. truck style is also wierd and just child like. put a lot of gauges and chrome, i am not saying our european is better with all the frill curtains and stuff and michelin man on roofs but it has a meaning and art and airbrush. each to their own i guess
