I just did a search King of Fighters anime, which lead to this video. I knew from the trailer for KoFXV that they had made a animated short for the game’s bonus content; so, I figured why not see if they had done an actual series or any OVAs. I occasionally played the games in the arcades back in the 90s, plus friends’ homes. I am by no means a expert about these games, nor at playing. I agree with many that the voice acting is to wooden, but the animation and story are solid. Thanks for posting this one. I look forward to finding more KoF stuff in the future.

It depends on the method used during their creation. The past anime of the 80s was done using 2D hand drawn painted cel animation. Nowadays most if not all anime is done digitally with computers which can vary depending on the software being utilized during production.
