A timeless classic of the Salvation Army's brass band repertoire. My Mum and Dad were present decades ago when the ISB of that day presented the premiere of Eric Ball's masterful composition . Years later I played The King of Kings alongside my Dad in the now defunct Bradford Temple Band,. Happy memories.

I remember hearing as a kid this belng played and before this piece was played Eric Ball actually spoke before it ....that was the first time I ever heard this piece...my dad had it on a tape....and we would listen to it going to the corps all the time. Thank you for sharing .!

Eric Ball - not only a great composer but also a lovely gentleman! I recall him staying for a weekend with my parents more than 70 years ago and will always remember him with admiration and affection.
