The King of Spain shared an awkard embrace with the Queen as the Spanish royal couple arrived at Horse Guards Parade on their state visit .

I don’t think there is any embarrassment in HM Queen's expression - she fully expected to be kissed and then to have her hand lightly kissed. It is the way of European royalty who have a family connection. King Felipe VI or Philip VI (Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Grecia) is a great-great-great-grandson of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and thus 3rd cousin once removed of Elizabeth II. I actually suspect she was surprised at how tall he is!
