Amazing video!!! I would love a whole library and cars for this race. Fastest gr1 gr2 gr3 gr4 and road car. I agree the Nissan is a BEAST HERE! I wish there was a better way to organize our garages besides the presets & favorites. I’m at 619 (402) different ones. It’s getting rather cumbersome

This car is good. I switch between the 787B and this. For me, the 787B is better because I get around 1.31s with it, while I get 1.33s with the R92CP. Love the Nissan.

What are your thoughts on the sound with your VR system? Is there any way of getting a map on the HUD?

I’ve not used it much as I often find it hard to talk properly when I have them in my ears. But when I’m not making a video and use them the sound immersion is great. But I am only comparing to the sound from my monitor which doesn’t have great speakers.

GT7 in VR is really easy on the motion sickness, as it is not to far away from the real feeling for your brain except for the g-forces. The only thing where it gets tough is the rally stages with really high jumps. Then it is really close to wipeout or rigs…

This is my go to car for Sardegna. This tune looks slightly faster than the one I'm using, so I'll give it a shot! You can also shave a tiny bit more time off the lap by wall riding on the corner in front of the big church building.

There are faster setups for the nissan and i got a setup for the 787B, did a 22:26 with 1:26.1 racetime. Nissan is a little bit slower with a 22:31 because of higher tyre wear

Hi, Thank you for the build. Great car just one minor "quibble": my car WON'T turn :D Does it had to do with me playing on controllers vs wheel ? Even with stick jammed all the way, MASSIVE understeer (understatement). Will have to tweak some settings but thanks in advance to let me know if I am missing something obvious. Cheers

@@afrenchydownunder it's probably more to do with your driving style than with the controller. When there's massive understeer on a tune that works well for a lot of people, that tells me you're taking turns too fast. Extend the braking zone a bit and stay off the gas till you pass the apex of your turns, and you'll find that the massive understeer goes away.

If you’re using manual gears you can shift earlier. You’ll save fuel like that. Or you could just use mix 3 from the start.

@@Doughtinator it can come down to transmission tuning. With the tuning calculator (I'm assuming this is the same $10 one as posted on GT Planet), there's some attempt at optimizing the distance between gears, and it certainly impacts fuel economy. 1st and 2nd gear are rather close, and the following gears all have increasing space between them. It seems to work well for fuel economy on tracks where you're most often in your top gears (Le Mans). But it's not always the best when it comes to slower, more technical tracks (Nurburgring GP Circuit). And in my experience, it doesn't often lend itself to the fastest possible lap times.

The Nissan is a great car and fun to drive which can't be said of all the great cars in game. What gives with the fuel efficiency though ? The Nissan is good on fuel but certain cars are absolutely terrible. Some of the road cars wouldn't manage 1.5 laps on leanest settings ffs :)

The race cars have better fuel economy and tire wear than the road cars, generally speaking (although the Gr. 4 Alfa Romeo race car seems to be an exception). If you pop a race car engine into a road car (like the R92CP engine in the R34 GT-R), you get the fuel economy benefits as well. Looking towards real life, road cars are often run with fuel mixes on the richer side. It helps them run cooler and helps the engines run reliably for longer. But being a rich fuel mix, that means there's more fuel being injected with every engine cycle, and that will make fuel economy worse. Race cars are expected to run hard, run hot, and receive service after every race. So tuners can run a stoichiometrically optimal fuel/air mixture, and thus fuel economy is improved along with performance.

Amazing tune. Absolutely killed it. However, I can’t manage a “clean race” under 25:17 lol. Extremely frustrating watching you pull casual 1:28’s every single lap while my fastest was a 1:36 😂 Edit: I should also mention that I started the race one fuel map 4, and ran map 4 through to lap 9, when I pitted. Switched to map 3 on the out lap, and last lap was obviously map 1 for full attack. However, My fastest lap was achieved using fuel map 4. Edit2: Chipping away now. Racetime 24:43.786 with a fast lap of 1:34.046. If I didn’t have work in 5 hours I’d be up all night learning this track. Tomorrow is Friday anyway. I know now what I’ll be doing this weekend.
