There's a theory around about conquerors haki having a final stage attack that could hurt mars and stop regenerative powers (like marco's , gorosei's or kaido's) . Roger use it on his divine departure. And isabello has it too , but weaker.

I find a good way to describe the King Punch is that its a Yonko tier attack, not enough to beat one but enough to do some real damage to them, like a hard punch to the stomach for a regular person, like after getting hit by it Big Mom admits that that actually hurt, nursing a lingering injury from it.

I think you should talk more about the nika fruit. Some people believe luffy can do anything he wants, turn into fire, multiply, or heal. But chapter 1114 kind of confirmed is just a rubber fruit since joyboy was also described as a rubber man. Im guessing all the nika fruit does is make the rubber human make funny gags or jokes to fit the theme of the attack. All the things he created dont add anything to the attack. Its just to make a joke. If he wants to go mock 5 in a slingshot attack he created goggles to fit the theme/gag of the attack. Thats why he didnt create a bat. He had to mold a tree into a bat and then his imagination turned into reality paint and a hat to fit the joke or joyboy persona.

My guess is it was used on kaido or shanks when they were super drunk and they fell over by themselves as the king punch was thrown. But it is an amazing cool attack and hopefully we get to see it again. Also it gives credit to barto being the strongest defensive character in the entire story as his barriers haven't been broken yet and he's still somehow alive longer than kid in shanks area

Those barriers are no jokes though. It blocked the king punch with no problems and blocked a pissed off Kozuki Oden with no issues. Haven’t seen it pushed to the edge of durability yet so curious how far it can go. Also surprised there wasn’t a comparison of what’s a better punch, King Punch or a Garp punch. If Garp let him charge up and shoot his punch right when he shoots his punch back at it then could it beat Garp’s?

Honestly, the biggest joke of the King Punch is the sheer amount of time necessary for it. Even IF it could injure or even one-shot a Yonko (except for Buggy, who's weak as fuck), The fact that he needs to warm up for at least an hour makes it useless. Tournament arc/Challange gauntlet is 100% happening in Elbaf. Lifting a cat's paw or serpent, drinking a whole container, a regular drinking/eating contest, opening a bag of food, waking someone up, a foot race, a wrestling contest, opening a door al la Killua Zoldyk's front gate style, and other tasks that are deceptively simple. Spoilers for the end of one piece as of June 2024, we are in the egghead arc of the manga, in the middle of a fight I'd love to see the yonko show up for the final battle. They don't have to fight with the strawhats, just against the World Government's constituents. Everyone is already going to fight. But I'd love to see it.

"no proper Tournament Arc" ... It isn't too late for a good ol Davy Back Fight. A serious one, not a joke one that Foxy did. The rules were already explained, and it is said that Rocks practically invented the 'sport'. Oda said that the end of One Piece would be the same time that The One Piece is achieved. So, that would put "Arriving at Laugh Tale" at the end of the series. Before they could get the One Piece the World Government and Imu would need to be over thrown. This can't be something The Revolutionaries could do alone. and Luffy is the Main Character, son of Dragon and brother to Sabo... so an Alliance between Pirates and Revolutionaries is likely going to happen in order to take down the World Government.... But what is going to happen once the WG and Imu is taken care of? The Revolutionaries would be busy fixing the Government, but then that leaves all the Pirates in the Alliance in one place, at the same time, and all the remaining Emperors likely knowing where Laugh Tale is at that point... There just may be a race/fight over who is going to get to set foot on Laugh Tale first.

I mean, 2 random executioners *did* kill Roger, but he didn't fight back, so no haki. Anything past, I guess non-powered up human limits in the One Piece world technically can kill a Yonkou. The punch is definitely extremely powerful, though, and I would probably wager than it, in fact, can seriously injure a yonkou. The issue is with the charging up time, and I feel like Garp can probably throw multiple of those punches in a second as compared to one hour.

I like the interpretation of it staggering a Yonko the best. It being on par with pre-prison Wano Luffy's King Kong Gun sounds right, might not gravely wound a Yonko but it sure would knock em on their ass. My next question, how many main villians could king Elizabello II beat both with and without an hour of prep time?

My experience is probably affected by the English translation, but I always thought the King's Punch could knock down a Yonko. As in knocked off their feet & falling on their backs. But no serious damage.

I personally think the power of the King Punch is about the same as one of Luffy's King Kong Guns. I think the King Punch would have taken down Doflamingo (he wouldn't have been able to land it tho) and I think a King Kong Gun would have blown Pica apart the same

I think it's still a very impressive attack and I think your comparison to Zoro's attack on Kaido is the most appropriate. Elizabello's not shown to use haki, but apparently it can still harm a yonko, something that Luffy couldn't do before he learned to infuse his attacks with conquerors haki. Infusing the King punch with haki would probably be devastating.

To be fair, those "boulders" that the king punch eliminated was literally the entire top half of full size pika. I mean, zoro cut that same pika in half, cutting and punching are very different things so which was stronger? Imo turning that half into non-dangerous rubble is more impressive but that's my opinion. The onigashima full power Asira might be a slightly better comparison than we think...

I think king punch is explicitly conquerors haki related. Its just for some reason that's the only way elizabello can use haki. But I'm convinced if he actually landed it on kaido he'd win.
