First! Dogman through Mr. Bulbous...a heavy, turning quirky and weird time for King's X. Under appreciated era. I listen to these album as much as the "classics".

A coworker in the record store turned me onto their debut in 1988. Fell in love with the band. Saw them tour albums 2-6 and a few times since. They never fail to bring it live. It’s a shame that they never broke huge, like they should’ve… in a perfect world. For me, and I’m sure I stated the same thing in last month’s show, it’s the Atlantic Records era. I love their first brace of albums from 1988-1986. That’s the stuff for me. And yes, I will be here for all future shows in this series. ~ Davey Cretin, from Cretin Classics.

I made a huge mistake by forgetting that Manic Moonlight is the next album and then Black Like Sunday.

Black Like Sunday (2003) comes after Manic Moonlight...then Ogre Tones (2005).

@@ericerickson4252 Right but here’s the thing about BLS. Those songs pre date OOTSP so I tend to perceive it as the debut album. Thanks 🙏

@@shyshift Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of BLS. Songs sound and feel dated. Is every song a re-work of old material? I will say that "Two" is a favorite. Both the newer version and demo.

THe Sherrif album was actually quite good, guys. Sort of in the Boston dynamic of melodic rock. Very solid singer- Freddy Curci ..you may dig it. I'm sure it's on y-tube..search it out. T

Altho Dogman did end up growing on me, the band never bettered the first four, IMHO. T
