Thank you for that Sea of Tranquility Why We Do This show. My first show of Sea of Tranquility was the History of Whitesnake 6 years ago and I did a follow up with Pete and Chris Alo History of Black Sabbath 1& 2 shows. I have been a fan ever since. One of the great features of SOT is the fact that a lot of the Show members are professional Rock journalist. I’m going to break down what I like about each member. Pete Pardo just has a fantastic ability to sell wholeheartedly whatever he’s talking about with passion. I really appreciate Grant Arthur’s Grant's Rock Warehouse approach at the graphic level on his shows. It really shows, and he is the top visual designer of any of the members. Love Grant's attention to detail wanting to make your show look professional . The fact you care about production value and the end product. Like your producer has standards .Then I really like about Phil Aston his simple sets up the visuals where he’s on one side of the screen, and on his table he has a little stand, where he can put the physical media and you can see it really clearly without any glare, a real simple process, it looks great. Jamie Lazlo has designed a giant HD television behind his set, which holds logos and topics which really is a great unique design that I haven’t seen on anybody KZbin show. Pete and Ken Golden on the Professors Pic have really cleaned up the look of their presentation with the sea of Tranquility logo on right and the giant album covers where you can really appreciate the album artwork. and see what Ken is trying to sell. Martin is probably one of the experts on this type of music and it’s just an amazing guest always. Lair of the Alchemist. has good strong audio, but nothing fancy on the visual realm and once again holding up physical media style. Rob Asante and Chris Cans goes the extra digital mile visually on H.V.S. show. In the Prague Seat Show, Chad has a really nice presentation and George does the little digital thumbnail album covers which looks really good. but his camera seems to be out of focus and his framing seems to be really weird where there’s a lot of ceiling in his video. 80% of these podcast shows where people are holding up album covers or CDs. I understand it’s necessary when you’re doing a variety of pics, but a lot of them really do don’t do justice to the cover or the product due to glare .A solution like with where Phil sits to the left side of the screen and has a little rack on the right side of the screen that holds his physical media with no glare and then talks about while the viewer is looking at the physical media it just as a nice clean presentation instead of waving media art around . I’m in the live entertainment business Video Director, Designer for major rock bands. that’s why I’m so particular about visual presentations. Some simple blocking ,camera angles and lighting set up that are simple fixes could improve some visuals throughout Sea of Tranquillity shows. Thanks hope this is constructive criticism ,I am big fan of the channel.

Jonathan King's got "Cherry Cherry" (1970) - a classic. And The Cryan' Shames have some wonderful deep cuts & 3 great albums: their s/t, A Scratch In The Sky & Synthesis (1966-68)...I'll put in a plug here for The Pretty Things, a really (IMO) underrated band dating back to '63 with HUGE influence & possibly the first ever rock opera (SF Sorrow) - plus at least 13 excellent albums all the way up to 2015... How 'bout The Masked Marauders, the 60's version of Klaatu. Rumored to include Lennon/Jagger/McCartney/Dylan/George Harrison (but didn't include any of them), recorded a '69 album by an unknown group (with some ties to Country Joe & The Fish & the wonderful Grootna) as a Rolling Stone hoax/sendup of contemporary 'supergroups'. Not a bad album though once you get past the novelty tracks...Crazy Elephant (one s/t '69 album) was a groovy band. Some of my 60's fave albums on the lesser known side (by category): Not much prog/fusion yet but we have... After All - s/t Aphrodite's Child/It's Five O'Clock & End Of The World Byzantium The Fourth Way - s/t Nite People/P.M. Pesky Gee!/Exclamation Mark Plus/The Seven Deadly Sins Skin Alley - s/t Steamhammer/Reflection, MKII & s/t The West Coast Pop Art Experiment/Where's My Daddy, Volume 1/2/3 - great band! Wigwam/Hard 'N Horny Motown/R&B/Soul/Funk: Archie Bell & The Drells Black Merda Bobby Taylor & The Vancouvers Calvin Arnold Clarence Carter/This Is Clarence Carter & Testifyin' Cliff Bennett Duffy Power The Five Stairsteps The Hour Glass Howard Tate Ivy Jo Hunter J.J. Jackson James Carr The Loading Zone The Mauds Max Merritt & The Meteors The Shades Of Black Lightning Soul Survivors Psychedelic rock is of course the biggest category, just a few (this is only A-B, there are TONS): The Alan Bown Set Aorta - s/t Apple/An Apple A Day Apple Pie Motherhood Band/Apple Pie The Attack/About Time Banchee/Banchee & Thinkin' Bangor Flying Circus - s/t Beast - s/t The Birds Black Pearl - s/t Blackwood Apology/House Of Leather Bliss/Return To Bliss Blossom Toes/If Only For A Moment & We Are Ever So Clean Brain Police - s/t Brew/A Very Strange Brew The Bubble Puppy/A Gathering Of Promises Bulldog Breed/Made In England

@@GrantsRockWarehaus Thx! Been working on my 60's collection lately (mostly from '67-'69). Also what happened to the Part 1 episode? I had bookmarked it earlier & when clicking on the link now it shows error message: "Video unavailable. This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds". Is one or more tunes being played in it getting blocked by a content owner? If so that stinks! Maybe try again without that content? I'd love to have more episodes of 60's music! If you're considering continuing the series I'll chip in a few ideas (as usual the lesser known stuff - mostly Pop): The Action - mods Beefeaters - blues rock Mendelbaum - wonderful s/t '69 blues rock album The Knickerbockers - pop Les Fleur De Lys/Reflections Merry-Go-Round/Listen Listen: The Definitive Collection - wonderful late 60's pop band New Colony Six/Breakthrough The Remo Four/Smile Sandy Coast/From The Workshop Stained Glass/Crazy Horse Roads & Aura Tages/Contrast, Extra Extra, Studio, s/t, Tages 2, 1964-68! What a band, totally underappreciated! Swedish pop band that formed the same year (1963) as The Pretty Things. Inspired by The Beatles. Five albums in 2 years plus the collection, then changed their name to Blond & put out The Lilac Years in '69 (more psychedelic & another great record). I think Tages might be THE best 'unknown' (at least in the US) 60's pop band - and that's saying a lot!

I'm not sure how legit those are. The Japanese CD's are from a label called Oldays and might be needledrops. The only CD's that Dave Clark licenced were... www.discogs.com/master/696069-The-Dave-Clark-Five-The-History-Of-The-Dave-Clark-Five www.discogs.com/master/260091-The-Dave-Clark-Five-Glad-All-Over-Again

Love the Left Banke but I think Michael Brown's greatest work was with Stories - the first album and the second (except for Brother Louie) are records that I can listen to any time and on repeat. And don't sleep on the Beckies, his post Stories band.

Had a great time in chat. A great third album I've been listening to a ton is Evildead - United States Of Anarchy (2020). Killer Thrash Metal. Evildead's second album The Underworld came out in 1991 so there was an almost 30 year gap between studio albums. Evildead are as consistent as it gets and everything they've released is worth owning. They just put out their fourth studio album Toxic Grace back in May 2024 and it rules.🤘

So many of the 1980s thrash bands had their 3rd album achieve the most sales due to Headbangers Ball,Metal Shop,etc promotion..although not many of those acts third albums were their finest output with exceptions of maybe Slayer,Sodom,Anthrax,a few others.
@SuperStrik9

@@ericrobertson2581 Yeah. Evildead's best album is their first album Annihilation Of Civilization imo and I think most fans would agree with that. The third album United States Of Anarchy is great and helped the band relaunch so to speak though. When the prerequisite is "successful" that's definitely open to interpretation imo. To me it doesn't mean best album per se.🤷‍♂
