They are doing this because they want to branch out for people to experience Kingdom Hearts and to build up hype in preperation for Kingdom Hearts 4. While it is sad that we haven't gotten any news regarding KH4 at least this will give people enough time to play through the KH games on Steam for the first time. I am not going to get the games because I already have the KH HD collection on PS4.

I don't see how the drought is over It's a bunch of games that were already on PC getting rereleased on PC again, with barely any benefit beyond a keyblade reskin. There are mods that include more content than this. And then a bunch of leakers just went "Pfft, yeah, we knew about this and just didn't say anything. Btw KH4 will maybe have some small online stuff." I won't be impressed until we get an actual trailer for some new content

tbh I kinda feel that. This is like a 30 second drizzle at best, because as lovely as it is for more people to be able to access the game through another platform, it's definitely not as groundbreaking as it was to even have KH announced for PC in the first place. And even that news paled in comparison to any fresh news about Missing Link, which on the hierarchy of KH games to be excited for, still ranks about as low as any of the other mobile live service titles.

Personally I hate to have many launchers to play games that interest to me. Steam being the most advanced, practical and that actually thinks on the consumer it has been my choice since forever. Epic especifically being extremely broken, aggressive, anti-consumer and did some of the most agregious disgusting tactics then I don't even care for their free catalogue. I just don't want it. It's a choice. Something I do and people always complain is that I never have more then 4 games installed, although I have plenty of space. It's an organisation thing, helps me focus in couple choices and dedicate some time on them. Other then that, yeah, I really dislike this launcher genre for every single thing and epic is the most disgusting of them all in my opinion.

The biggest reason for me is the Steam version likely having an offline mode for the game. I've heard Kingdom Hearts on EPIC is always online and can't be played offline. The same thing happened to Final Fantasy VII Remake requiring an always online connection. When Final Fantasy VII Remake came to Steam the online requirement was removed. I'm sure there won't be an online requirement to play Kingdom Hearts on Steam either. I'm sure the ability to be played offline is a big plus with Kingdom Hearts on PC.

the problem with the EGS isnt JUST slowing down your pc or having more than 1 store front. Its the unintiutive UI, the lack of features, the already extensive steam library that most people already have, it took them 5 YEARS to add a shopping cart, and we still don't have a wishlist. Its just a shit platform.

Most of the complaints that I know of for Epic Game store is the fact that they just force games to be exclusive to their worse storefront by throwing money at the developers. Cannot wait to play these on deck. I do think we will see melody on steam, but I have a feeling the exclusivity deal is still up. once that is done, I imagine it will join the rest on steam

I actually beat Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode 1st Time on Nintendo Switch. Took me 31 hours. 1st Time Critical Mode. It was a 10/10 experience 💖

I’m definitely one of the people who won’t be getting this for two reasons: 1. I don’t buy digital, period. I only buy physical. You don’t truly own anything digital. If it’s not physical it’s not true ownership. I won’t even buy DLC. For this reason I still don’t have and have never played Re:Mind. And I’ll continue to not have or play it until it’s included physically on a disc. Like a PS5 collection of every single game (including MoM) kind of thing. 2. I don’t have a credit card and I will never get one either. You don’t truly own digital currency in the same way you do cash. I only pay with physical money, and if that’s not possible then the item or thing’s not being purchased.

Kingdom hearts became mobile with the PlayStation portal....and since all the kingdom hearts games are on PlayStation 4 and the 5 plays PlayStation 4 games....you can play kingdom hearts on the go with the portal and a PlayStation 5

If the Switch's 9yo hardware can handle Hogwarts Legacy and Witcher 3, it can definitely handle KH3 What Squenix did was just lazy. A slap in the face to Nintendo owners, to ppl wanting portable KH, and a slap in the face to KH itself. Pure incompetence on behalf of Squenix I do look forward to playing KH on my new Steam Decc OLED. Never cared for the games initially. Played one of them on my friend's PSP, but that's it
