I’ve enjoyed this channel immensely, but I must say, this episode was the most disappointing. Being a Zimbabwean myself I thought a disfavor has been done to the history of The Zimbabwe Ruins. It doesn’t appear that Gary Kent did enough research on these ruins or solicited enough help from local historians. The link to Solomon seemed forced, and the narrative about Martin Luther while showing the background of the Zimbabwe Ruins was not a solid application. No Zimbabwe king was mentioned by name, the Queen of Sheba was not from Zimbabwe. I think the lesson and fortress narrative could have been made just based on the ruins alone. I wonder how many conversations Gary Kent had with the local historians in Zimbabwe. I’m sure he could have found more applicable information to suit the lesson in quest. So, not the best episode, but the channel is awesome beyond comparison. I frequently watch it and share.

Any Monument, Temple, Bridge, Tower, Castle, Palaces, Fort, Citadel, City Hall, University, School(religious and writing) and grand sophisticated architecture in pre-Portuguese, Arab, European Sub-Sahara black African, Congo, South Sudan, Central Africa Republic, Gabon, Uganda. Did Congo have any ancient pre-Chinese paper manuscripts and documents like Majapahit(Negarakertagama, one of many old manuscript written in palm leaf paper), China, Europe, Middle-east, India, Siberia and Mesoamerica?, any Wonders like in Indonesia have Borobudur, and also pre-hindu and Buddha temple like Lebak Cibedug, Pugung Raharjo, Taman Purbakala Cipari and Gunung Padang Pyramid ,Hindu Era Pyramid like "Candi Sukuh, Candi Cetho and Candi Kethek no in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives built temple like in Indonesia, it mixed with local religion and culture, unlike Islam, cannot mix with any religion, all pure Arabic. In Cambodia have Pyramid style temple too like Koh Ker temple and Maya temple look-like "Baksei Chamkrong temple". So any old pre-Portuguese Congo city and town, At least heritages historical village with traditional architecture or classical ages and medieval ages city and town like in Indonesia, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bhutan, Laos, Cambodia, Korea, Malaysia and Japan. Did any stone inscription, metal plate inscription, King and Queen statue, Mausoleum with traditional architecture. any library or King/Queen or Royal library, document and book?. Congo did they have grand sophisticated architecture building, writing script, grand stone-brick walled palaces complex? any big ship like Borobudur ship? or European, Arabs, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Malay and Cambodian ship? Congo, and others like South Sudan, Gabon, Angola, Central Africa Republic must have equal and comparable to Majapahit/Indonesia, Khmer/Cambodia, China, Japan, British, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabs, Greek, Roman, Persian, Indian and Turkish? Congo history must be amazing, pre-European monuments, writing script, manuscript, Congo ancient ruins. Khoisan, Papuan, Jarawa of Andaman Island, Congo pygmy, Melanesian, Aeta of Philippines, Negrito Semang and Australia aborigines civilization and history are amazing too.

In his commentary to ps 117 Luther wrote, that God, before he became God, he was devil. That is it about his reformed teaching.

I'm sure Gary is a good man but on this one he's dismally lost the plot, this was the same narrative sold by the Rhodesian government. If he had done a little more research he would have found out early Portuguese explorers witnessed those structures being constructed by the Mwene Mutapa subjects, Solomon was resting with his forefathers by then. Ancient African maps reveal the extent of the empire ( Monomotapa ) and you'll find the more than 200 satellite ruins all lie within the borders of the Kingdom. We know all the Mwene's who reined going back to around 12 Century. Mwene is like Pharaoh or Caesar
