@@AlanaMarie Thank you for making this documentary, this story really needed telling on behalf of Kinloch and the many other beautiful black spaces that experienced calculated erasure.

The neighborhood was probably contaminated by the radioactive waste dumped at the airport land from the Manhattan Project. I’m sorry to say. I got to meet Kinloch kids at Combs Elemetary in 76-80. I am glad to have had their friendships. It was so segregated in St Louis County. It was worse than NC. We could not be friends outside of school. I actually lived on Suburban Ave in Like 81. i was told not to go past a certain street. I didn’t even know the next street was Kinloch. I’m sorry this was normalized.

Such a touching documentary. I grew up in Florissant and had no idea or awareness about the legacy of Kinloch. Beautiful people telling a compelling story. Alana Marie you are a phenomenal storyteller

I was born and raised in Kinloch. My family are the Wilders and Ericks. It breaks my heart seeing what happened to our home. Me being proud to be from Kinloch is an understatement. I used to like to say We were all some “Kin” some how, and we were “Loch” Locked 🔒 in fa life. ✨💕✨

My family “The Bradfords” are from Kinloch. We enjoyed your watching your film. It brought back many memories for them and they instantly recognized your father along with several others featured in the film. Great job!!

Went to school in the Ferguson-Florissant district in the 80s and 90s. I always remember how proud kids were to be from Kinloch, Robinson, and Berkeley. I think I went to HS with a couple people on this doc. As a kid, I always felt so bad for how early they had to get up to ride the bus. That extra 45-60 minutes robbed these kids of time that could have been spent with their friends or family. Had friends from Frost and a buddy who moved to Kinloch. Rough neighborhoods, but never had any serious issues personally when I hung out there. Very good documentary, really emphasizes the social-economic divide of people and greedy corporations- thanks for making.

Thank you for this documentary. The airport and I-70 also encroached on the Washington Park Cemetary off of McDonnell and this is where many of my ancestors were buried. I was thinking about doing a documentary on the search for them and this inspires me to keep going. #KINLOCHFOREVER

I'm really hoping that this dialogue brings more attention to Kinloch. My thesis research from college was based with Kinloch in mind. I came up with an urban design plan for Kinloch back in 2018. I shared it with as many people as I could in hopes that something great would come from it.

Thank you making this film, a Story that needs to be told and reverberates in B L K Communities & Cities across the nation…Being from the D & the community I grew up in, Brightmoor, houses are no longer standing and the entire City has been being gentrified over the last 8 years it’s heartbreaking 💔

Great Doc. I remember going to daycare at one of the churches in kinloch and that staff did not play but they took great care of us. I remember asking my mom why did she take us out. Come to find out the church was bought out and demolished not long after. Also I would love to see this documentary on Netflix this definitely needs more recognition.

Absolutely good documentary. I grew up in the 90s on the back side of Kinloch bordering Berkeley/Cool Valley. My childhood home was also demolished by the airport. Such a very important part of history. Thank you for sharing.

I left kinloch in 73 headed to memphis on a track scholarship but my music career started there in kinloch. I traveled all over the world for 30 years but there's a hole in my heart for I can never go back to kinloch. My family is the fairfaxs . Millers and griffens.

I grew up in Berkeley. This story saddens me. Big corporations always come in and destroy black communities. My dad moved us to Orange Mound, TN (Memphis) another historic black community in 1993. Thank you for highlighting Kinloch.
