This started as one gif for a Homestuck blog I run in my spare time (hs-theanimation.tumblr.com), and then one day I got it into my head to contact VAs and make a full scene out of it. I've never put together all my own audio before, so it was a bit of a daunting experience. Also, I've been trying to balance efficiency of animation with quality of movement and I haven't mastered it yet, but I hope you can still be patient with me and enjoy the video!

The lion king music was what really got me started laughing. Jake just calmly watching enhanced it. The bucket did too, then Jane's face, then Rose's face, and then realizing that even though you animated Li'l Hal's eyes narrowing and stuff, you show them wide freaking open during the kiss, like "holy shit he actually did it."

When it pans past the volcano there is a blue light, you can't see John, but if you've read far enough into Homestuck, he starts randomly appearing and desappearing through time and space. One of the places he appeared was behind the volcano, and that's what the blue light was.

Is no one gonna talk about how astounding the voice actors are?? Great animation, honestly!! It was so detailed and even that point where John zapped behind the volcano was there, which was incredible attention to detail! And the part where Jane's like "what the fuck" and Roxy's like "lmfao nice" and Dirk's just "Yep same shit as always" is honestly the best

i don't know if it's canon, or where canon homestuck confirmations come from outside of the story itself, but now that i've seen it, i kinda like the idea of Jane being black. but... what if in Hussie's art style, the white represents tan skin, and the grey skin of trolls is actually just a darker actual skin tone? wait... what skin color would that make Cherubs?

oh, right. i suppose that does debunk a theory or two. oh, well. it's not that big of a problem. or on at all, in fact. say, i have a good theory i've been wondering about, and i'm curious what your opinion is on it. if a kid with Dissociative Identity Disorder (multi-personality disorder) hit god tier, would he gain a god tier for each of his/her personalities? or, would there be multiple dream selves that each personality would be able to inhabit after god tier? and if he went in the session alone, would it be like the Cherub's session, or would the game anticipate the multi-selves, like the scratched Kids session did with Dave and Jade (the game anticipated there being another space and time set of players, so the scratched kids session didn't have either to allow the universe or scratch)
