I had a wolf 30 years ago, raised by people by time we got him hed already been determined to be not a candidate for release. Best animal we ever had. I lived in the country so we had a number of animals. The smallest of our cats at the time was also the queen of the pride so to speak. When lobo flew in, animals scattered. Except the little female. She got on her haunches and whacked him square on the nose. Then they became forever friends forever after. When we lost the cat to old age, died at 19, my wolf looked for her day and night, then howled for quite awhile which is what the pack does when they lose a member. They grieve. This mama is being a mother, as this is a puppy. She accepts it as a kitten.
