Their beautiful music speaks to my soul. Pure vocals, beautiful harmonies, brilliant musicality. I could listen all day long. I'm giving it a BIG HUG! An expression of JOY! We could all use more JOY in our lives, everyday.

My strongest memory of the Klezmatics was when I was in high school. My grandfather was incredibly sick, and so my parents went down to visit him; but as I was days away from my IB exams, I had to remain behind. It was my first time living on my own, and I suddenly found myself in charge of making sure the house didn't burn down and the dogs didn't die. I took the exams, my grandfather recovered, and my parents gifted me with an iPod nano as thanks. The first thing I uploaded onto that nano was the Jews with Horns album, which got me through that chaotic time.

Klezmer has clarinets, not the sax. It's jarring.

Are you kidding me? This man is a legend. Master on sax and clarinet both!
@rhapsag4 жыл бұрын
Sax may not suit your taste. But bear in mind that the clarinet only came to the fore in 'klezmer' (or whatever people called it at the time) with the advent of the recording era, because fiddles did not record well on a phonograph.
