I hear that, they two albums, a joint or two, early summer about 7-8 at night, watch it get dark and be stoned while listening to these. Or come back from a night out, sit on your bed, open the window to listen to the world outside and look at the street lamps as the sun comes up listening to this, both special memories in my life.

I meet music snobs quite regularly. It often goes like this... Music Snob: "The KLF were just a hit-driven commercial pop group. I never found them interesting." Me: "Have you heard Wichita Linesman Was A Song I Once Heard?" Music Snob: "No." Me: Music Snob: "Fucking hell..."

Such a strange song. Numbing ambient dread combined with jubilant classical sounding melodies creates a really vague, misty feel. I'm not the biggest fan of KLF or the kind of music they play in general, but this song has been hardwired into my head since the day i heard it. There isn't a single song that quite sounds like this to me. Good work KLF! You get an A+.

in 1990 i was 2 years old. i cannot remember anything from that times, but this music makes me feel like I do. dear God, the theme that first appears in 0:10, kinda played backwards, I never felt so speecheless. That nostalgy feeling is just unbelieveably distinctive in absolutely uncommon way

It later became "go to sleep" and then "last train to trancentral (album version)". Or was "go to sleep" earlier. I was very surprised when I bought the "white room" cd to listen to the "last train to trancentral" video version. I had the original version on the first record.
@as-rm2nu3 жыл бұрын
Go to Sleep was recorded a lot earlier in mid 89'. They just jegigged it late 89' for this project after realising it wasnt gonna see the light of day on Soundtrack for The White Room. The original GTS is 6 and half mins
