I'm so in love with this piece. I've loved it for over a decade. It was a balm to me when my mom died. And yet to this day i haven't found somebody to just sit and listen. I may just have to marry the first lady I meet who even knows it.

At the end of the book of Job, after chapters and chapters of suffering and doubt, God appears in a maelstrom, in a vortex, and shows Job the terror and enormity of creation from the deepest oceans to the desert's heart. After Darwin's daughter dies and the remains of her life is shut in a box, we see the whole of the natural world: tied by strings of instinct and natural selection, birds and beasts and humans - everything in flames. This song is awe inspiring.

There were several times that lasted weeks where I had to listen to this song every night, it wouldnt leave my mind. I craved those moments when a singer starts, or the animal references, or the fact that it goes on for 11 mins! (Actually the song seemed to get shorter every time I listened to it).

Dear Karen and Olof, I know how important it is in your beliefs to reject idols, and I agree, and love you for that. You are true artists. Always remember though, that we deeply deeply love you, and everything you do and stand for helps us be better people, there's something to be said for that and to give credit where credit is due. I was lucky enough to see you in San Francisco the last time that you came through. I bought tickets for both nights, and you ALL crushed it! Thank you for being the smart beautiful artists that you are... And thank you for the awesome music! Love, MH

@Milohenry132 жыл бұрын
@@jcoverpass, it's: "lemming-comment," fixed it for ya! You meant to use a hyphen in order to compound your adjective into a noun form, thus calling me a lemming. The comment itself cannot be a, "lemming." So it should be spelled "lemming-comment." This usage would describe the speaker (noun) as a "lemming" (adjective). The way you have it written (sans hyphen) makes the comment itself, "a lemming," which doesn't make sense, as a lemming is a human characteristic. Hope that helped you understand your English.. Keep at it teary person.

First time I heard this I had just been getting to back to my feet after being attacked by a maniac wearing an Adidas track suit with Puma trainers and a cream coloured Ellesse sweatshirt. He also had a shifty gait. Probably couldn't grow a beard either. I'd been to a birthday party at MaccyD's, when I remarked the Happy Meal toy was below par, the RM suit guy smashed a McChicken across my face, sending me to the floor. Hard. I'd just collected my senses when he hit me repeatedly with a barrage of solid blows from a Nokia 7110 -knocking out my two teeth front teeth, busting my lip wide open, and leaving me with a black eye. AND, not to mention, my cheekbones, that were the size of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's after getting thoroughly duffed up. When I came round in the hospital, this song was playing on a Cyrus CDi (2013) in the corner. And my girlfriend said, with a concerned look on her face: "shall we get married then or what??". I of course said "Yes, I'd love to. Thanks a lot (babe)". Never looked back since then*. I love her with all my heart and think about that bittersweet moment, at death's door. I am now 64 and have been happily married for 49 years but I Iost her to heart disease 3 years ago this fall. Every time I hear this song, I remember her and how blessed I was. Miss ya darlin! lobe you so much xxx. *she did give my best mate Tarlteon a blozza just down the road from the kebab shop, ''Yabba-Kebab-A-Do'', but that was after we'd had an argument outside Wetherspoons tbf. But then marriage ain't all roses.
