Thanks Thomas - Saw the Knitters with Mojo and the Beat Farmers' tribute to Country Dick Montana on Outlaw West in Nov 22. Little did Mojo know (or maybe he did) that his well-deserved tribute would be coming soon. I normally don't like phone videos from in the crowd, but this one is well justified and very well done. Saw you filming it - thanks so much for posting! Highlight of the festival for me by far, and one of the most fun performances I've seen in 20+ years of attending SXSW. People said the Black Keys were the top band at the festival. Nope, it was the Knitters! Well worth the two hour wait to get in!

I camped out for 21.5 hours in order to be upfront to film the show. During this time, I had a personal invite to see The Black Keys perform at midnight (private pass), but I would have to get off the line (although I was the only one on line). I decided to stay put and I definitely made the right decision! Glad that you are enjoyed the video!

@@tomemillerWow, thanks again for doing that. I got in line at 11:30 am that morning and made it in just before 2, in time to see the Beat Farmers which was my goal. My friends didn't want to wait in line, but I'm glad I did. Might not ever get to see the Knitters again, plus it was at the Continental! Great show and now I can watch it again thanks to your work!

@@tomemiller tapers have to hit the trenches sometimes ,to get the best piece of the cake , and this one was worth it .i remember many a good party rockin to the KNITTERS Back in the 80 s .i heard critter on the road tape in complete for first time at a Dead ,g. camp ,danced r arse off outside cap .center in BALTIMORE . gOOD TIMES .HAVE THE VINYL now . So great! I saw The Knitters in 1990, I think it was, at the Backroom. Thank you so much for recording this, I had to work. Or I would've camped out first thing, packed a lunch. 🎉

who would have thought one of the greatest punks bands of all times also formed part of the knitters. They are so different than X and exene, ok gurl.
