Another priceless video from Thomas Miller. Must have started the night with a full battery! The Beat Farmers were great in giving to and receiving support from Mojo Nixon throughout their careers. Enjoyed them with Mojo on Outlow West and a couple of Outlaw Country Country cruises.

I don't know his name, but I think that he was a friend of Country Dick Montana.

That's Joel "Bongo" Kmak. He's a long time San Diego music-scene fixture; he drummed for Powerthud (with both Jerry Raney and Joey Harris), as well as for Joey Harris and the Mentals, and starting around 2004 or so, for The Farmers (Jerry Raney-led band that initially had 3 ex-Beat Farmers in the lineup and later added Chris "Sully" Sullivan on bass, who had played with Buddy Blue in Buddy's post Beat Farmer adventures). Bongo is one of the family for sure.

It depends on who is playing in the band at the time. They oscillate names and members.

The Farmers is a different line-up for the past 15 years or so; only Jerry Raney and drummer Joel Kmak play in both the Farmers and the Beat Farmers since Buddy Blue's death and Rollie Love's (first) retirement. The Beat Farmers name was essentially never used between County Dick's 1995 death and about 2023, but the Farmers released 3 albums between 2005 and 2018. As it stand now, if it's Jerry Raney, Chris Sullivan, Joel Kmak and Corbin Turner (with an assist often from Nathan Raney, Jerry's son), it's the Farmers. If it's Jerry Raney, Joey Harris, Rollie Love and Joel Kmak, (as it is in this video), it's the Beat Farmers.
