I lived in Las Vegas during Manny's run. It was some of the most fun and exciting times of my life. Attending the fights, getting tables and bottle service at all the clubs after his wins...I am so thankful and lucky to have experienced it up close and personal. @@user-sg8kq7ii3y you're a funny guy. He dominated each division and weight class, unified belts for each division, defeated the top guys of each division and you are saying its easier to move up? He moved up because there were no more opponents to confront. The only way is up not stay. Do you know why there are weight classes? It is to protect the boxers and because for every pound of weight corresponds to an exponential power spike in power. It was very dangerous for manny to move weight classes given the fact he is a natural featherweight and you are saying its easier to move up than stay? Your logic is laughable. Name me undeafeted boxers, I can name you 15 of them and Rocky Marciano was the best, a heavy weight who never dodged an opponent. @@user-sg8kq7ii3ylol, moving up is not easy than staying in one weight class not to mention the fights that made him the one and only 8 division world champ. You're saying that if he stayed in one weightclass he'd get knocked out but you forgot that Pac is a natural lightweight moved up to welterweight and still dominated and knocking out champs in their prime. If he's fast and strong enough for the welterweight dudes, what more can he do if he stayed on his natural weight class. You forgot that he fought Margarito, a 5'11 dude comoared to his 5'6. Margarito weighed 17 pounds heavier than him that night but dominated that fight breaking Margarito's orbital bone and you still think that staying on a single weightclass is harder than fighting the best of the best in their respective weightclasses? Still in awe of Pacquiao's combination in 2:16. The way he parried Hatton's right then followed up with a weird uppercut, with the same arm he used for the parry btw, to block Hatton's vision then immediately connected with a lightning fast left hook and he did all that in 2 seconds. If you notice at the start of the fight Hatton entered the ring with Hopkins, Mosley and other high profile people. While Pacquiao was warming up in his corner and his name was being announced, he was mocked and impersonated by Hopkins. The Hatton entourage already started leaving the ring and turned their back on Manny during his introduction, which is a pretty rude and disrespectful thing to do. You can see the look on Mannys face, he is not happy with the respect he is getting, and he takes it out on poor old Rick.

@@duomaxwell3613 Hi, old guy here. I'm an MMA fan & a boxing casual. That was news to me as well, just being more used to MMA rules. It's interesting to know & thank you for the knowledge on the rule, but not knowing is more a sign of your level/experience with boxing, not your age. And since I'm not sure of your familiarity with MMA rules, a KO is someone out cold, a TKO is someone who just can't continue... so the importance seems sort of inversed between MMA & boxing, hence an MMA fan being confused why it wasn't a "better" KO than just a slightly "less" TKO, when it sounds like a TKO is the "better" result in boxing.

Floyd would demolish a prime Pacquiao. Prime Pacquiao was at 140-lbs. Even Pacquiao himself said that 140 was his most comfortable weight. Floyd was a KILLER between 130-140-lbs. At those weights, Floyd was a heavy puncher who stood in the pocket and let his hands fly. Look at what he did to Corrales and Gatti. The difference between Floyd and Manny is that Floyd had speed, power, and he was hard to hit. Manny had speed and power, but he was easy to hit. His defense was not even close to the level of Floyd's defense. Not even close. Marquez lit Pacquiao up. Marquez didn't even lay a glove on Floyd. Even Canelo could not land a single solid punch on Floyd.

As a boxing purist it's such a shame Pacquaio went into the mayweather fight severely injured. We don't realize it because of how tough he is but his rotator cuff was essentially completely torn. That injury robbed us of potentially one of the greatest boxing matches of all time. I wanted to know if Pacquiaos vicious offense could have overwhelmed Mayweathers masterful defense but we will never know. What a shame.

Money can buy friends, even long time partners. Alex Ariza went to Mayweathers camp and reveals Mannys rotators condition. Setup the fight, and Mayweather and his trainer knew exactly what to do.

@@alexmatibag8349 I’ve heard rumors about that, but a professional like Mayweather would have sniffed that injury out in the first round anyway. Business is what kept that fight from being rescheduled as it should have been. I’m not a mayweather hater but tbh I’m disappointed he didn’t want to fight Manny at his best and push to reschedule the fight. That hurt his reputation in my book.

Even with a fully healthy Pacquiao during their match, I think Mayweather will still have an advantage back then. Pacquiao, since his early professional fights, has struggled against opponents who used the shoulder roll and can backpedal effectively. Those two are Mayweather's strengths. In comparison, Hatton is practically a stationary target for Pacquiao. I guess Pacquiao's two matches against Bradley gave the Mayweather team enough pointers to deal with Pacquiao.

I think that's such nonsense though, there was no mention of injury before the fight, only afterwards when he'd lost. The real shame is that he couldn't accept defeat gracefully and professionally, like a real sportsman, instead choosing to try to diminish Floyds win, and claim he only lost because of some injury. If he was injured or so badly injured, that he was not going to be able to perform, then he should have pulled out of the fight, it's that simple. And I think it's a huge shame, that he had to come up with an excuse, and how fans like you will forever buy it and believe Floyd somehow didn't deserve his win. It's just sad, because before that Pacquiao was known as an individual that seemed to be very admiral and a nice guy, but he tainted his image that day.

No, it is a TKO, the most brutal KO is a TKO... Stoppage is another thing but is also wrote as TKO formally, don't confuse one with the other. Is TKO because the ref decides not to count.

I remember this night.. Living in West LA, I had like 11 buddies and my Dad over for the fight. Everybody still eating their first plate, and the audible "OHHHH" when Hatton went down. Everyone's cell phone started immediately ringing from other people in awe of the fight. The fight was like $100 ppv and didn't last six minutes, but no one felt cheated from the boxing match that they saw. Incredible.

Freddy Roach developed Manny’s right hook and it wasn’t just a tap tap punch, as we saw in the 1st knockdown. Manny had the fastest feet and hands, he was in, hit you with a three punch combo, and then step under and be behind the guy, hitting him again. I don’t know if we will ever see another fighter with the skills and conditioning of Manny.
