New Volcas seem to be all so SO *GREAT!* Nubass, modular, this one.. . Almost like I'm in love! To this little machines. :D

I love this volca. You can get some insane and intense sounds out of it. I primarily use it to make sounds to sample into my digitakt. Thinking about getting the modular too. This thing reminds me of the old electribe with that waveguide resonator Love it

yeah, always feeling well entertained and informed by these guys. interesting and inspiring concept to me, this volca drum(synth), providing opportunities to travel in exciting sonic territories and acting as a companion for my tr-8.

He forgot to talk about probability. That feature alone makes this volca 100x the drum machine that the DBI is. I have both, but I only ever use the volca drum because of the ability to make stochastic beats.

Love you guys you're always so into what you're reviewing it's infectious! Think the Drum is a bit abstract for my needs atm but the Modular looks cool.

Dumb question: can you speed up or slow down the tempo of your completed rhythm track? For example: around 10:56 - can you speed or slow down that beat sequence?
@brianbrill5 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a tempo knob you can twist, or it will obey the speed of clock fed to the sync in.
@jonathangillis49265 жыл бұрын
@@brianbrill thanks. Just another thing that came to mind. Can you do other time signatures such as 3/4, or 6/8?
@brianbrill5 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I guess how you deal with that is use the Active Step function to select a certain number of steps in the sequence other than 16 and divide your steps in accordingly. A bit awkward, but you can do odd meters that way.

The title for this video refers to the Volca Drum as "modular."is it? I can't find any patchpoints on mine... But seriously, is Korg working on a firmware update to allow transfer/backup of KV Drum kits?

You can't hear the low end in video, but it has plenty low end. Just got one a couple weeks ago. Nice and boomy, as well as twitchy and robot/spaceship sounds.

Had to stop watching that half way thru because the guy from Korg clearly didn't know how to work operate the device, telling us you could edit the layers of a sound individually, but then failing to demonstrate it. Bit lame, that.

Weird how people have OLED screens that never burn in or if they do, it’s not noticeable. The screen on this Volca is fantastic. I’m assuming you don’t buy new phones either then right? Get real dude.
