it's funny how cix has a lots of casual listeners compared to loyal fans, yet people always have huge expectations about their music. this was a fun summer tittle track but the bsides like In and Out, Off my mind, Bad Dream and Genie in a Bottle take the cake for me! this album was the perfect transition of summertime to nostalgic fall, I cannot wait for the next album

i noticed that too! CIX's mvs have many views, and a lot of people think they have flawless discography but we rarely see reactions to anything entertainment related and much less their reality shows i wonder why

fix (cix fan) here! that bit at the end where one of the members is lying on the hospital bed is a reference to their numb era! another thing is that the island that they showed near the end is purgatory. to keep it short, they got out of hell (jungle era) and wave is their journey to purgatory (hence why the album title is Be Ok Prologue since they're setting up for the next few mvs) thank you for reacting to them! they're already planning to do a winter cb so i'm also looking forward to your reaction to that!

@@r1yoo it was basically a pre-cursor to everything since the album title was "Hello Chapter Ø: Strange Dream." In Context of The Divine Comedy the latin line in the cinema mv (i'm paraphrasing here so take it with a grain of salt) says that they witnessed these fantastical things, wonders no one would ever believe. Personal theory of mine is that cinema era stands as a prologue to everything and is the equivalent of them looking back on their journey as a whole. hope that makes sense 😭😭

CIX is one of the few groups that has never disappointed me with any of their comebacks. I always get incredibly excited when I see they’re having a comeback because I know I’ll love it every time! I haven’t been able to stop listening to this song since I got their album in the mail- it’s my new go-to driving album, especially as summer comes to an end!

Their lore is based on Dante's Divine Comedy, in this mv they basically escaped hell (in which they were in in jungle) and reached the purgatory, that mountain you see at the end. Yonghee probably did not make it through hell, you can see his story in the numb trailers

They are finally in purgatory! That's where they were headed. You might have noticed in Jungle that it was heavily influenced by Dante's Inferno so the storyline is still related and then the last scene is related to the numb teasers. They mentioned that the songs for the next album are set now so expect them to make a comeback before the year ends! Also worth noting that this is the first title track not written by their old songwriters (american songwriters who also write for kang daniel) and it worried me a little because they had such good chemistry but it turned out great!

**TRIGGER WARNING FOR SELF-HARM** Ok I am working on a theory that I will eventually post on twitter about CIX's whole Divine Comedy concept BUT to simplify...before the Numb MV CIX released a 10-part series of Story Films that focused on the dark side of the modern-day school system. It talks about bullying, being a bystander, self-harm, and how one individual's (Yonghee) pain and suffering has unintended consequences that affect other's lives. The various sins committed in the Story Films and Numb MV send them to different circles of Inferno in the Jungle MV. Dante's journey through the Inferno is about recognizing and paying for one's sins. He then goes to Purgatorio, which requires one to renounce their sins to be able to reach Paradiso. At the end of the last Story Film epilogue episode, Yonghee is rushed to the hospital where he appears to have survived his final s*****e attempt. My theory is that the rest of them are gathered around his hospital bed and are beginning the process of asking for forgiveness for what happened to Yonghee, which will allow them to move through (up the mountain of) Purgatorio and eventually reach paradise.

I cannot put into words how much I love CIX's production team. THIS is how you pull off having a MV lore series: Each MV is fantastic on their own and you don't have to watch any of the others to fully appreciate them so if you're a new fan, you don't feel out of the loop, BUT pre-debut fans are also rewarded because each MV they've done does connect - both visually and with the lore! (This MV has visuals from all of their other MVs - that's literally 7 distinct MVs! How do they do that without it looking messy?!) (Edit: You're also rewarded for buying their physical albums because the sea creatures in Cinema and Wave were included in illustrations in their very first EP! When they showed the aquarium visuals in Cinema, I was so happy!!) It's even better that most of their songs are written by the same lyricist (danke), so even though the title tracks may not be explicity connected, the albums flow well together. I can only assume that C9 spent perhaps years planning CIX's arch before the group was even formed. It's actually crazy how detailed - yet seamless - this group's production is.

CIX just stole my heart with their debut and they have held on tight! I love them! They’ve soared up my bias list past a lot of groups. Their music is right in line with my tastes. They making nothing but bops. And their all beautiful. I hope they continue to have support and gain more following so that they can stick around! Now that I’ve been into KPop for a few years I’ve narrowed down my true favorites list and CIX is on it.

hi! cix fan here!! this song is related to both their jungle and numb mvs and concepts the most! their lore is based on dante’s “the divine comedy” which follows the main protagonist who journeys through the levels of hell (inferno) to reach the paradise he seeks (purgatory). the JUNGLE mv is about the levels of hell and what each member represents, the WAVE mv is about their journey out of hell and to the island/mount purgatory. the members are sailing just above the inferno they were just in and broke the border (the wall of water) and finally reached purgatory! now the NUMB mv has significance because the story films go into detail about why the members ended up in the levels of hell they were in (other than Hyunsuk who was the ferryman of the dead). at the end of the WAVE mv what is being showed is a newer version of the ending to the numb story films. in these story films they detail Yonghees struggles as a bullied teen and how these actions conclude with him taking his own life. in the story film, he was alone in the hospital bed after he was rushed there, but in this mv he is surrounded by the other members. This is quite a brief summary and nowhere near as in depth as it should be but i hope this helps!! thankyou for reacting to their mv and loving their music!! your comments and reactions are so good!!!

They’re going through a journey like the one Dante did in the Divine Comedy. They were in hell during Jungle, and at the end of this video you can see they’re heading towards a mountain shaped like the Purgatory. Recently I thought that maybe they’re there to find Yonghee, whose character dies by suicide in their lore.

PD….I’m on the exact same CIX journey as you!!! I liked their debut, but didn’t dig deep. Cinema was IT for me, I love that song. Then I went down the rabbit hole. I revisited all their title tracks, which I have listened to before, and watched anything they were on like reality shows.
