Omg thanks so much for reacting to Eyedi, she's criminally underrated, just some facts about her, she was in Mixnine and she finished in the girls lineup after Heejin from Loona,, her instagram acc is also followed by Digipedi, in my head she's cosmically connected to Loona lol. I think since she comes from a small company, her MVs are low budget but I think it plays well with the retro vibe, and some details are intentional. She has non retro music, like Type K and Best Mistake, the videos are again low budget but the songs are amazing, ofc if you're into the indie hip retro vibe. She also had her Japanese debut with the song Perfect 6th sense a few months back, it's a different sound but good nonetheless, sorry for babbling to much, I just really love her so much, she might be my favorite Korean Soloist 🙏

Eyedi is ridiculously good... it pains me that she doesn't have any physical releases (CDs, vinyls) for her music with it feeling very retro-inspired. Same goes for Yubin and Yukika… though at least they have some releases I have been able to get my hands on.

Though she did well in Mixnine she still comes from a small company that has a small budget (therefore lack of promotion). I’d say she’s definitely ‘underrated’ as an artist. Last I checked she’s quite involved in the music production process of her songs. I just adore her and think she deserves more attention.

I really didn’t expect that you make a reaction video to Eyedi, I just found her on my KZbin recommendations last summer because I was listening to a lot of synth wave tracks and I just love the fact the it really sounds like it was produce for the 80s. Most of her MV's are very simply shot and sung, but with very rich quality, but some have little stories to go with em like Luv Highway and &new. She's been releasing songs for both Korea and Japan. Her latest song is a Japanese release, Perfect 6th Sense.

Yeah she's got a great aesthetic and sound. She probably will never make it big in Korea but her music fills a niche much more like you typically see in north america or europe. I hope she puts more stuff out.

she has a great voice with a lot of range, this falsetto thing she's doing in these songs is a conscious choice! she's done a couple different styles over the years but she seems to have found her niche with this!

she's a great songwriter, and she isn't famous cause she doesn't really want to be an idol, she just wants to be a songwriter and musician. she proved that she could be idol if she wanted to, though, she was on Mixnine and got 5th place for the female trainees, and if that group had debuted, she would have been alongside loonas Heejin and itzys Ryujin. there are photos they've taken together of them hanging out on the show too! Eyedi's also friends with Siyeon from Dreamcatcher, who probably bonded over how they were both not really feeling at home on that show lol.

&new is the day and caffeine is the night.... i love them i will say, these two are a bit of a new direction for her... somewhat. they're very much in eyedi's style, but they're more retro and synthwavey than her others. you might like Best Mistake and Sign (though Sign has a kind of out-of-place rap feature lol). best mistake is kind of dark, sign is kinda funky lol and also yeah she's not especially popular, so her music videos are pretty low budget. she really makes it work though! and okay I'm done haha, i could talk about eyedi forever though

Thanks for reacting to Eyedi! Caffeine and & New are some of my fave kpop tracks, so different from her other singles (and way better IMO). I hope they do more like this because truly lo-fi pop (that detuned synth!) is an area that Kpop hasn't explored much. She could cut a niche for herself there. If anyone reading digs this style they should check out bands TOPS and Video Age and Faith Healer ;)
