Forgot to mention, I only wished he promoted himself and the song more. He really only just gave to 2-3 interviews. Dropped it and left, lol. His production is amazing. He just needs to work on the marketing and promoting to further gain new fans and widen his audience.

I think the same thing mark is amazing I love him I love everything he does but the marketing aspect is really bad he has kinda long road to learn more about promoting and marketing he needs to stop depending on his friends because they’re not professional they’re just his friends and working in such positions like promoting and managing is not good

It’s pretty costy especially as he is now doing everything by himself, but I hope he indeed works on marketing or hire some marketing team to push his work more which I’m pretty sure he will in the future since technically it’s his firsts solo work

@@sonia4313 he is signed to an influential talent agency so the marketing should be taken care of. I get that this is his first ever release so he might be timid to go all out but I feel like mark should've reached out and demand more from them. we know how powerful he is. hopefully the agency realizes this too and start utilizing his talents (just like how the other got7 members are rn)

@@sonia4313 I read once that one of his friends asked to work as a his manager mark is to nice to say no I know what you mean by costly but his team didn’t even suggest to make a tick tock using the song and the interviews that he did were blurry you can barely see Mark’s face those are very small things that could make an effect I hope things gets better I love him so much

I totally wasn't expecting it but thank you PD-nim for checking out Mark's Last Breath! I love your commentaries on the song and MV. Seeing Mark praise makes me happy! They worked really hard and went all out with the production for this release. This is the first project released by Mark's team: DNA Productions, and certainly more to come from Mark 💯🙌. An album is in the works and a couple more singles will be released before that. Stay tuned!

I love Mark’s tone...different in each of his songs...One in A Million w/Sanjoy, Never Come Down w/BiBi from Shang Chi Marvel Movie, and Last Breath (Mark wrote about his Experience in Korea..Very personal...means so much) Can’t wait for the rest of album...I still love his deep tone singing rap like in COLD & KING. Really cool to hear all your positive comments and feedback about Mark and his music since it was revealed in an article that he didn't have any plans to make music as a solo artist as he wasn't confident in finding his own style. Thank god he didn't let that stop him cause all his solo songs including Last Breath are so well done and it's so nice to hear him sing. I think you perfectly described Mark's overall style and it suits him so well! I really hope Mark and Will Chan come across this video cause I think it would mean a lot to them. Mark is Chinese American. Yes, he did write the song himself. He was born in the states and went to high school there. His family is also in the states. I was super impressed how high Mark got in this song. Can definitely see how hard he is working. Mark has stated that he is trying many different styles since he doesn’t know what his style is yet. Also this was his friend’s first time directing….amazing job.

I think you are confused on Chinese and Taiwanese. Mark is actually Taiwanese - American. His parents are Taiwan and immigrated from Taiwan to the USA. Its been confirmed on the internet and on videos. If you are talking about Jackson Wang, then Jackson is Chinese and from China. Jackson’s parents are also Chinese and from China. There’s the difference.

Mark mentioned that Last Breath was a song that he felt like he had to release first before he could release other songs because he mentioned that this song, as well as his future singles and first album, will speak to his past experiences from living in Korea for a decade. He also even mentioned that the members had not expected this kind of sound coming from him. I agree with you about the length of the song. It's shorter than I had expected, but it feels complete. I only wanted it to be longer just because I'm always greedy for more of Mark. I also adore the last scene of him at the lake and then popping out of the tub. Just beautifully short and enhances the depth and rawness of the meaning of the song. I think Mark's voice is quite versatile, and I hope to see him explore and play around with it more in his future songs. Nothing beats his deeper tone for me though, haha.

I’m crying!!! 😢 just listening to you, seeing how much you enjoyed the song and the video, had me in tears 😭 happy tears! During some of the interviews of Mark he said that his song is more like his journey in South Korea as a kpop artist. So some ahgases speculated or think of it as this is like a song about "toxic relationship" not only romantically but just like his journey in kpop industry where there is just some toxicity that hinders them to be the artist that they want to be. That is why in the end he was drowning in the lake(his old artist self) and been revive in the tub as a sign that it is a fresh new start for him to be the artist that he really is (just like some of the members like bambam focusing more on reborn/riBBon as a new artist) 💚💚
