what's interesting about the recording process of this song is that doyoung actually coached mark on how to do the "yeah boy". he gave him a little advice and mark nailed it of course. i LOVE this track so much.

What shocked me is seeing the recording bts of taeyong's chorus part .. i thought they edit his voice to sound much lower, but that's actually his real voice .. of course there will be a bit of editing, but his actual voice is as low as the audio 😳😳

The clothes all changing at that one part looks like they used AI to alter the clothing on every frame and then they're just playing it back normally. There might be a bit of blending work going on to make the changes flow a little smoother, but I'm not sure. XG has also used AI to modify certain shots in their GRL GVNG and TGIF vids. It nice to see AI being used tastefully. Once it catches on and more artists start to use it, I suspect it will get old, for but for now it's cool.

This debut/The 7th Sense formation is truly the best! I mean, there are other great members in NCT, don't take me wrong... but now I am talking about the combination! You have two best rappers of NCT (Mark and TaeYong) and two best dancers of NCT (again TaeYong and Ten). Then obviously TaeIl is considered as the greatest vocal of NCT, but we have to consider the dance skills as well and in this case DoYoung and JaeHyun are the ones, who can deliver both on the best level possible. I mean, from the dance perspective it would not be a good choice to put TaeIl here or into The 7th Sense. Of course in this case we have to think about other NCT vocals, who could have made it with their dancing skills as well at least on the level as DoYoung could (because I would say he is the least dance skilled of these 5 in this formation). HaeChan, Kun and XiaoJun come to my mind! At the end of the day DoYoung is still vocally stronger than these 3, although it would really be neck to neck and based on that I would choose HaeChan as the one who is the most dance skilled of these 3. Because to be fair it is hard to compare DoYoung with HaeChan, since HaeChan has really distinct sound in his voice. I mean Kun and XiaoJun are also noticeable a lot, but with HaeChan the song would have completely different vibe. Which is interesting to think about, because HaeChan's voice was included in The 7th Sense promo video during the New Culture Technology keynote, so they actually considered him to debut with them. But instead of him or DoYoung, they put Hansol to perform in the video, because he was really talented dancing-wise, but he probably wasn't good enough with his vocals, so they chose DoYoung. Although they could have chose HaeChan anyway... And that makes me wish NCT would have done like different versions of a song, but not only with language versions, but the same song with different line up, that would be really cool. Also... we can think about it that the line up didn't have to be 5, but for example 7. But there is some special simplicity in the 5 members line up. In that case it would be cool to have JiSung as another greatest dancer of NCT and YangYang as the another best rapper (although I feel like YangYang wasn't in SM when they debuted with The 7th Sense... actually I am not sure with XiaoJun as well, now when I am thinking about it, so The 7th Sense line up was kind of "destined" to be like this 😅😅).

I don't think it's just about the skills. It's also about the vibe each member give off, their sound as a group and their chemistry with each other. And these 5 just fits right, if you know what i mean. Also Haechan indeed has a distinct voice but Doyoung's voice feels naturally more sensual. There's something about Haechan's voice that feels so child-like so it's a bit tricky to find the right part of a song for it to fit. Unlike Doyoung's, Jaehyun's and Ten's vocal colors which feel more versatile and are easily blended with other voices. Xiaojun's voice might fit better but not sure about his overall vibes and chemistry with the rest of the members.

But after all not just the vibe of JaeHyun, which fits it better with the others, but also he is more versatile with his over all skills.

@@WiseSmellyLegs @arien_000 I agree too! The biggest pro of NCT U is that we can hear a lot of combinations of the members' voices. But honestly, I think we should just enjoy the members that are here because with even one member missing or replaced the 7th sense wouldn't be the same iconic song as it is now. Not to say that the song wouldn't be good with other members, but it just wouldn't be the same. Doyoung's voice really pulls the song together, Taeyong's unique rapping tone, Mark's flow in his rap, Jaehyun's catchy voice, and Ten's talent in dance. This unit being a fan favorite isn't just about skill because there will always be someone better at something regardless of the member but because of their distinct vibe which cannot be replicated.

It's a sort of plush version of a hammer... they show it more clearly in the behind, as well as the set. Since NCT's concept is dreams/dreaming/dream-walking and uses themes from Inception, that little set is an ode to that. I was surprised PD didn't comment on that set, but it goes by super fast so a lot of viewers don't seem to notice it.
