"left and right" could also be seen as a symbol of their journey and youth of the past 5 years. As years and comeback's went by their success and pressures kept increasing, album sales booming , concerts and just their general trajectory. Last year was very successful for seventeen - from the beginning of the year with home getting 10 wins and triple crowns, their japanese releases hugely successful and then of course their 3rd full album Ode exceeding 700,000 sales in the first week and them winning a daesang. However these successes did not come without hardships- coups struggled a lot and beared a lot behind the scene and eventually went on hiatus for anxiety and jeonghan taking a break at the end of the year, ect. Throughout their journey they've had so many paths (left and right , left or right?) , so many obstacles and also crashes (which is why its important to mention coups being in the crash in the end) but despite all that they've persevered , carried on and strived to keep a good mindset about their passion and music- embracing all the highs as well as lows and this carefree song is the product of all that - just letting themselves be free and doing whatever they want as long as they don't give up (coups getting up and dancing in the end :)) ) stream the kings cowards

THE8 got that one line and left&right chorus. I'm happy about that. Jun only got left&right chorus. It's sad to see that Jun always gets the least lines and if he has more seconds of lines it's only because he sings some yeah yeah, boom boom, wow wow, etc parts. Only his screentime is a little bit better here. Normally his part always gets rushed. That boy really deserves better. I also agree with you with Wonwoo. I was sooooooo happy about his lines. He always got the least lines too. His voice deserves more time to shine.

"Do your best, but maybe not sometimes". The message I receive from this music video is like enjoy all the moment of your life. Decision isn't easy to make, enjoy that consideration moment too. Life go up and down, but it won't let us down. Try your best but it's okay if you fail or choose wrong sometimes. Don't be too harsh on yourself, you can learn from your mistake and it's fun too. (scoup's car crash scene) The scene where Seungkwan is the only one who run at the race while others enjoy dancing together is because, Seungkwan ran so hard but at the finish line it's no reward. "The early bird catches worm", don't be too focus and run, let walk and enjoy the scenario because sometimes being the first one is useless and tiring. Jun's scene while he is holding the "HELP ME" board, because he's stuck in between the decision (= car lanes) so he can't either go left or right. His only way is "go up/go straight". Don't think that you only have 2 choices, if you change the perspective you can see other options available. (Joshua turns all the signs go up). Woozi's lie down scene is like he stays in a place while people around are moving. Confused what he should do and afraid if he choose it wrong. And the members came over to told him that, he doesn't need to walk on one way. How about run around to explore both side first, and even if he already make the decision and it turns out wrong. It's not the end of the world, walk back and go the other way. People put too much stressful on making decision while not all the decisions are unchangeable!!! This MV was packed with positive and deep meaning!

Always enjoy your content and break down. You took the words out of my mouth as you were analyzing it. I really enjoyed FEAR because they touched on dark emotions/thoughts. It was artistic, poetic, deep, and powerful; and it had a very strong message I felt anyone can relate to when they are struggling with their own fears. FEAR will always have a special place in my heart, but this has got to be my favorite comeback. It’s youthful, yet mature. It’s light/fresh, but has lots of depth to it. It’s their way of saying “no matter where your journey takes you, everything will be okay.” The whole album itself embodies positivity, encouragement, and even empowerment. The wait for this comeback was definitely worth it.

I enjoyed Wonwoo’s performance with the hockey uniform and then the sleeveless tongue thing and I kinda sooo annoyed he had to wear that crop top. 😑 Sneaky boy got me swerving.

I applaud Woozi (plus Bumzu and Vernon) for such a well-rounded song. I like that it is unapologetically K-pop (which I always push for) and yet has such straightforward and inspiring meaning. The hook is there of course with the repetitive title and the very memorable dance steps. A good round of promotions for Seventeen! PS plus the song distribution for the 13 members is great!

They really tried to comfort us, make us feel supported and cheer us up with the whole album, like even though if life gets hard sometimes don't let that stop you, enjoy life as it is with its ups and downs, don't need to rush don't need to stress, things will get better some day and personally I really needed this, that's why I love it so much. I can't wait for your listening party

You expressed the depth of the meaning of this song in ways that I couldn't have said better myself! You brought my appreciation of the song to a whole other level!

The chorus itself is reminding us to get rid of the choices that make us feel bad/limited/wrong whatever. Left & Right, Left & Right, Left & Right, RIP IT RIP IT!! :’>

The arrow behind Jun swings to point down as the car crashes down! I noticed this the second time I watched.

i think this song definitely came at a right time. especially with so much negativity in the world right now, svt really released a perfect song to remind people that it's ok to take things easy and have fun.

I just wanna say that Seungcheol's part is my favourite in the whole song, it has such a nice flow and I'm glad that my bias is happy , healthy and vibin' lol Btw , you haven't said much about Jeonghan this time. Any thoughts on him, cause I think he looks gorgeous in these dark hair. Well, everything suits you when you're this handsome...

the whole credit sequences shows how even when you crash and fall, you can still get up and dance again, just like how cheol went on hiatus but now he's back and better than ever. also the fact that they dedicated the whole ending sequence for cheol's little solo:')

i feel like it’s been forever since we’ve seen a fresh/fun concept from a boy group in general, not just from svt. as someone who adores svt’s older music, this song made me so happy!

i totally agree with the idea... it's really a beautiful message that cheers people up in these days and the crushed car tells that maybe sometimes we try and fail but just keep going... it's ok not to do our best sometimes but have our lives a bit that's seventeen always encouraging those who listen their songs
