This is dance lines era. Juyeon and Q may not have gotten a lot of lines but they ATE the screen and the dance, Hyunjae with his long gloves also absolutely destroyed this time around. I would say they've definitely lived up to their RTK potential, they're more than just a group of singers or pretty boys dancing, they're performers to the max.

I love your comment sm. Imma be honest last year I was gonna unstan the Boyz but I couldn't bring myself to do it but I wasn't sure why. Their music kept changing and I wasn't sure I liked that. But the songs they made were always SOLID. I ended up realising they're so captivating cause they're just great performers. Periodt. It's not about just the singing, or dancing, they deliver everything perfectly everytime no matter what concept. Funnily enough I only Stan the Boyz and loona, and I found the EXACT same thing with them, they're amazing performers no matter the concept, and always give quality. I can only Stan the Boyz and loona at this point

yes and i love that it wasn't at all like a generic dark concept it was more like campy, show-yourself-off/sexy kind of dark. it doesn't come off as try-hard to me because they have that natural 'glam' to them. dare i say this cb was actually very feminine? feel like it was definitely made for the female gaze

I've kind of noticed and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on it. I find a LOT of boy groups are either doing hard hitting bangers (which I love, don't get me wrong) or poppy bops (which I also love). I don't find anyone really doing like a smooth R&B sound, except for solo artists, and I think that's how The Boyz are going to going to try to differentiate themselves from everyone else. I don't know. I could be wrong. There might be other boy groups doing a smooth R&B sound but I seriously cannot think of any except The Boyz.

Okay PD, first of all, the name you’re looking for is JUYEON and he’s OUT. OF. THIS. PLANET. Moving on, let me give you a piece of my mind about The Boyz. I was so mesmerized by the RTK performances that I just decided to watch the whole show and it was definitely the best thing I did during lockdown. I was already into them since No Air but RTK was the turning point that made me stan HARD. Fast forward to last Saturday when they had this online concert that wasn’t supposed to be for free to begin with but due to connection issues with the platform where it should have happened, it ended up on VLive reaching TWO MILLION PEOPLE and getting 200 million hearts if I’m not mistaken and it was SO SATISFYING to see that because they’re THAT GOOD. It was the first time in my life I woke up at 6am to see a comeback and I’m definitely not disappointed AT ALL, everything about it is on point, this kind of concept fits them perfectly, I was hoping they would stick to a mature concept after Reveal, and you know what? I really hope they get the popularity Oh My Girl got from Queendom, they didn’t win the show but ended up with 9 wins in their next comeback, so that’s what I wish for The Boyz. UGH I’M SO DAMN PROUD

"This guy" is Juyeon, one of the main dancers. You might also recognize him as the one who jumped that backup dancer at the end of their Reveal (Catching Fire) performance on RTK to get back the crown. People always compare idols to animals and to my mind he is definetely a hawk or eagle with his eyes and sharp features.
