I absolutely love my LAB Golf Putter. I will never swing any other brand anymore. For 2 years I sat at a 2 index and couldn't get past scratch, bought this putter and it's enabled me to shave the strokes to finally get to scratch. My index is sitting at a +1.4 and it's all due to my LAB Putter.

I’ve recently bought this putter and can confirm it’s magic. Feel soft and rolls great. It does square up but I find you need to grip it lightly. Love it and worth the money
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
Gripping It lightly is great advice - let the putter do the work for you

How long did it take to get it delivered, and to which country? I'm on the fence myself but don't like to wait months for getting it shipped to Europe.

Paid for a custom putter fitting recently and fell into this LAB Link1. Went in looking for “face balanced” mallet and the fitter grabbed this along with other options and this won out. Needed to reduce my grip pressure substantially and adjust my stroke to a longer path with a slower pace. Takes time to adjust - I’m still getting used to it but/c you need to let the club head square up and do the work for you instead of guiding/aiming it through your stroke. Helping the most so far on my lag putts. Only three rounds in Fall golf conditions and had only 1 x 3 putt/round (vs my typical ~3-4 x 3 putts/round).

Completely agree, especially with the point about it taking time. Got to trust the brand and put it in work. I'm now using a MEZZ.1 Max in Broomstick and seeing great results.

I play a 37 down to a 36.5 inch putter. I usually choke down an inch but use the full length on long putts. Bettinardi BB37. Garden Grip. I’m usually around the 24-25 putts per round+. I’ve been doing this for over 50 years so I’ve had a few putters myself. 😊 This Link 1 is truly innovative and it looks like it works well with a No handsy stroke! I’ll be up and about here in the next month or so and will try the Link.

I have been rolling a DF2.1 for two years. Love it. Never had a putter stay in the bag that long

I haven’t tried the DF 2.1 yet but it’s on the cards, happy to hear you’re enjoying it!

I can't say enough good things about this club. You know the ball is starting on line almost every time. My bad putts have improved remarkably. Best of all, it makes me want to practice putting.
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
Agreed about the starting line, it's very impressive.
@johnbrodnik839 Жыл бұрын
I’ve always said if you hit it or pitch it or chip it close you don’t need to be a good putter. 😊😊 But things can get off track if you don’t practice properly. Nice review. Thanks!

Hi Alex, great video! It looks like you are a pretty tall lad and that putter seems a little short for you. I would like you to try a longer putter that gets your eyes just slightly inside the line of your putt. About 1 inch is perfect. Bend from the hips with the line of the putter up through the arms. Hard to explain. Basically a straight line or pretty close. Next, balance should be very centered and definitely not on or over your toes. Move your weight back to your heels and slightly lift your toes in your shoes and check. Try that and see what happens. Then let me know. More stuff in the way. Next will be grip and arm set up. You hate me for a few months! 😊
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
Thanks John! I'll give that a try. This putter is actually 36 inches which was fitted for me, but i've since changed my grip back to traditional. Always tinkering & 3-putting

Hopefully I can get over to the UK this year. Had knee surgery earlier now a broken ankle. Yikes! I worked with a 2 time major champion who was a short game and putting master. Paul Runyan! Best Snead, Hogan and a few more. I use his theory especially on the chip/putt method. Anyway, keep up the good work and wonderful videos!!

People who complain about the cost of this putter are the same people who will spend $500 on a driver which won't improve their scores as fast as if they found a putter that would shave 3 to 5 shots off each round. Just seems strange to me
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
Agreed! It’s a worthy investment

@GolfmagicPlus had the fitting yesterday. Brilliant hour spent trying all the different LAB putters. Loved the Link, found MezzMax had a vague head feel on back swing, so in the end the Mezz1 won. Love it. Standard shaft as well.

Choosing between this and ping ds72c for new putter. Is this notably better in your opinion
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
Big difference as noted by the price - the L.A.B putter is more stable and feels better across the face, with the PING being less forgiving (it’s a small head!) I do enjoy the PING, but the LAB is better IMO

@GolfmagicPlus thanks for the reply and confirming 👍 going to cost me some money 💰!!

Ping DS 72 custom is a great option! Looking at ordering one with a different hosel. But the Link is the way I’ve been putting for 50+ years. I fit myself and do adjustments as I go. It usually takes a few months to get things perfect. Then there is the Grip!?

Hello , I’m based in Africa and need to order without testing as no stock in country . I prefer blade version . Do you feel benefit with forward press grip vs regular ? Are you putting better with link vs mezz?
@GolfmagicPlus Жыл бұрын
I’m putting better with the Link.1. I preferred the looks of the MEZZ though! I found the forward press was great for golfers who’d didn’t already do that in their routine.

Yes! I did a review for that last year. I found the MEZZ softer on mishits and less responsive, but actually preferred the weight of the Link.1.

They aren't the easiest to locate, although I have heard they are now acquiring more stockists across the globe so it should become easier.

I would absolutely love a Lab Link1, but as with most high handicap golfers, is spending that much money gonna get me into the Ryder Cup team? haha, no. I wish, but I just cannot afford. Shame.
