It’s quite remarkable that a band that released only one album has been so well documented on uTube. Much to my delight might I add but nevertheless….

Great photographs. What a band. I’m planning on interviewing Lee and plan on doing a documentary.x

Was there. Wasn't enthralled by LA but when I heard who was supporting Elvis Costello I bought two tickets & gave one to a Northwich (Cheshire) ex-punk band singer. Have seen, Bowie, Blondie, the Tubes, et al perform, but this night was something else. Lee Mavers & John Powers had authentic star quality. I sensed they were not going to last, & I am a crude insensitive type Yorkshireman. This bring it all back.

It's interesting hearing or rather not hearing Lee Mavers singing backing on 'Alright'. Then when they play 'There She Goes' John Power seems to really bang it out on his bass maybe out of frustration. I've heard this was a point of friction towards the end when Mavers wouldn't singing backing on Powers songs live.

I like that you can just hear excited chatter in the audience.

Wonder why lee never talked in his gigs towards the end. Always seems like John is the vocal one

He did before about 1988. My earliest gigs on this channel are bittersweet for that reason. Lee being chatty with the crowd was brilliant

Scott posted me a cassette so I put the cassette in a walkman and the cable from the walkman went to my PC where I recorded what came out then I opened the recording in my music program and tuned it to my voice and guitar to adjust for tape stretching (this is not as exact as usual, tonight I went by feel, I think they played half a step down) then I put the WAVs in and isolated frequencies in the 80hz and 120hz ranges (and some mids and highs but not many) pushing them to a seperate slot which was mono, all this to restore the bass end to its proper range, whereafter I raised the volume so only these frequencies would be affected without having to apply compresssion and adjusted the output mix song-by-song accordingly with an overall equalisation highlighting what I suppose is standard for rock but faded to like 30% so as to preserve the integrity of the original tape while enhancing what I detected needed brought clearer hope that helps
