Honestly how fun would it have been to be the lead guitarist for even one gig. Those guitar parts are so interesting and full of character to play!

So I was in Augusta Ga in 91 for work and my hotel was next to this place where they were playing. I never had heard of them before. It was some small place. After the Terrible Comedian was finished they came on stage. The next Hour blew me away. So Raw and brilliant. They appeared very confident. I bought a CD from them after they finished. I listened to it for Months and shared it with friends. There Bus out back was cool too.

Superb. The LA's could have been The Beatles of my generation. Still, at least we got one album, and for that I am grateful.

The La's arnt up there own bums they may have only done one album, but put oasis and the stone roses and it's nine albums between them and the La's took tuck that pair right up with their one album plus Mavers as enough passion to take Gallagher and brown down in one punch

I was at this gig 18 yrs old it was at the Manchester Academy, I was right down the front facing John Powers on bass.. life changing gig ! (But had to battle some chubby girl who kept elbowing me off the front barrier) I think the lead guitarist walked off in a strop at some point near the end, he threw his les Paul down, emotionally charged gig. Great band.

@@mbgames73 I've seen him a couple times struggling with that les paul. And the sound. I don't think the engineer they were using on the electric guitar had it set up. It goes out of of tune often. What a band they were. Such a loss they split and went into the grey mist of liverpool only to resurface a few times that I've seen to do the odd little gig. John powers cast are fantastic. I was into cast before the La's as They were just hitting the radio when I was about 14. Sandstorm

fkn superb & wasted at the same time, though they were utterly brilliant, could have made 10 more unreal albums. Mavers had more talent in his sleep than the Gallagher brothers imo, who, by the way, I've seen many times, Lee was out on his own.

@@TheGmanG77 yep Neil Mavers. p.s. John Power left in december 91, frustrated that they hadn't changed the setlist much at all in 5 years.. Such a tragedy that they didn't kick on from the platform they had. Have you heard the Kitchen Tapes? There was an album's worth of beautiful ideas in that.
