Much of the modern income/wealth inequality can be directly linked to the steady decline in private sector unions, beginning in the 70's from roughly 60%-70% to now less than 10%. No increases in minimum wage, terrible benefits, less job security, either hiring immigrants or outsourcing jobs, all could have been prevented with strong unions.

Modern unions are the ones pushing for more immigrants. Unions today are just woke political grifters who collect six-figure salaries while doing less than nothing for White workers. They'll happily slash wages and benefits, in exchange for a "trans-inclusive" restroom or mandatory diversity & inclusion training, and then spend all the union dues on big political donations and protesting for "racial justice" and importing millions more migrants.

Agree. I work in a profession that requires a masters degree and pays poorly. I have to bill like a lawyer, however until a lawyer I only get paid for my direct time with the client. So on paper the $50/hour sounds nice. But again I only get paid for direct time with the client. I do no get paid for the hours I need to spend planning, emailing, writing reports, doing research or even for the continuing education I am required to do. The companies say I am being compensated well. Turns out I am making way less per hour than $50 if I add in all of the non billable tasks I am required to do. It is depressing. I paid with my money and my time to get into this profession.

Honestly, I wonder how it can be that there are so many who claim the USA is such a great country. I live in Germany, and from my perspective I am rather happy that I live here where, as a normal worker, I have very good rights. Here in Germany, for example, your boss cannot suddenly terminate the employment contract from now on, it is legally stipulated that your employer must give you 2 days of vacation for every month you work for him (this would mean for one year of work, you are legally entitled 24 days of vacation, which you can distribute over the year as you wish) and on days when I'm sick, my boss still has to pay me for the days if I bring the sick note from the doctor with me.

Maybe a guranteed 40 hr work week career would be fine. But the bankers and CEOs who’s boots you lick gamble and play casino with the economy and our lives which leads to a recession every decade or so, leaving economic carnage in their wake. But you are either a child or have the memory of a goldfish, so maybe you get angry for a week or so when the economy crashes but the second a Democratic president gets things going again you go right back to corporate boot licking. I hope you will either join or us or you will not be spared once our society progresses past corporate bureaucracy
