The IST did something else that's really important. By the time the playoffs happen there are usually major injuries to a lot of players. This way we get to see a different cast at the beginning of the season when their legs are fresh, so I think that made the competition better in these games.

EXACTLY! It gives fans of teams that don’t usually have a chance at winning the main title an opportunity to win something! I treat it like a FA Cup. Since now it’s the second best thing you can win with the first being of course the NBA Title. Can’t wait to see historic teams like the Lakers or Celtics win multiple of these. And for big fan based teams like the Knicks, Pacers, Kings, Hawks, Sixers win it as well. Those teams like that particular, their fans have been through the trenches and deserve to see their team win something.

The first of many tournaments that will continue for the rest of basketball history. Tonight was just the first one. Bron won & people hate the fact that Lebron is already so great. He isn’t declining how they want him too & he’s challenging everything we have ever seen or known about what a basketball player can do & for how long they can do it. If you hate on Lebron, you honestly shouldn’t even call yourself a true basketball fan. Just acknowledge yourself as what you are… “a hater”. Take a step back & really think. What is basketball gonna look like without him. After MJ we had Kobe. After him we have Lebron. Lebron is the most complete player ever & yk this. MJ & Kobe did their jobs to the highest level. Shoot & defend. Lebron does it all. I will never take away from Jordan & Kobe. The last shot I would give to them over Lebron. Not because Lebron couldn’t make it. “Check the stats. He’s more clutch. Black & white don’t lie” but because I can’t trust Bron to not chase after the right play. Pass it. “People wanna see the stars (big shot) Not the moon (The right play).” Think about that lol. People saw mj & Kobe be selfish. They never saw a player nonselfishly dominate and stand above, beyond & on top of his peers . Lebron is like Magic but twice as good when you look at his full legacy & challenges & Not the accolades, but the player himself. He is the poster child for basketball if you say you wanna be the best player you can be. He is the best player of all time. Full achievements stats n all. Championships are won through the struggle of many. The team, coach & organization. A players stats are what other players should be compared to when talking about who’s the Goat of all time. It’s what they achieved on their own. It should be “the Goats of basketball. Not goat. Their is an argument for all of the top 5 nba players of all time. & at the end of the day. It’s all just biased opinion. You fw who you fw Side note. Everyone says numbers mean nothing. Rings rings rings. Well I told you the facts behind rings but say I’m a nfl player & you are. If for our careers. I had 1000 receptions & you had 999 doesn’t that mean I’m better. 💯 I’ll also add Bill Russell has 11 championships. You can’t move the goal post just because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Also Kareem has 6 & more points & accolades than Jordan. See how crazy it sounds. This is why a players full volume of work matters. *Everything they did themselves* Sam jones has 10 rings is he better? lol no, but rings say so right? Someone more well known. Robert horry has 7. Is he better? no Rings mean nothing unless everyone who won them with you are standing right they’re.

If you are only looking at stats to decide who and who isn't the GOAT then I'm afraid you have completely lost the plot. The fact is, all players are signed and drafted in hopes they contribute to winning, not scoring 30ppg. To use a line from a Winning Time: "in those finals I was just as good as Russell but he understood how to make those unknown players contribute". That's the difference between great and true greatness. Teams don't just win because they have a great roster and coach, in fact most great rosters DON'T win titles. Without the right star player to build around no team wins anything. It's not about getting assists and rebounds, it's about understanding your team, understanding what they can do/cannot do, and using that knowledge so you can win, AS A TEAM. This is where stats actually become a detriment sometimes. The fact is there is such a thing as doing too much and that is usually because players don't understand what they have. Even LeBron, he's lost TONS because a lot of times he doesn't really know his team. Instead of relying on his teammates more, he tries to do it himself, even though his teammates are more than capable of handling their business. LeBron may have averaged a triple double in the 2017 finals but was a useless defender, did nothing to slow KD down, and he usually burnt out by the end of the 3rd quarter. Why? Because instead of letting everyone else do their job, he tried to do it for them and it created a situation where LeBron couldn't deliver when his teammates needed him to. LeBron may have had all the stats that series but he's also a big reason why they got absolutely dominated, because he didn't do the things necessary to win, he was just inflating his stat sheet. That's why MJ and 6 rings w/ 6 finals MVP is so important. Did Jordan have a great team? You bet. At the same time, Jordan MORE than did his part and he ALWAYS delivered when his team truly needed it. That's what star players do, deliver the goods when necessary, that's literally their job. It's the teams job to keep the team in striking distance, it's the stars job to take over and win. Those rings are indicative to how valuable MJ was, not only as a player but a leader on and off the court. The fact is, LeBron has been thoroughly outplayed in multiple playoff series (that includes his last one against Denver), MJ has never been outplayed in a playoff series. TL;DR, if stats are the only thing that mattered, then why did the Philadelphia Eagles always play their best when Nick Foles was QB rather than Wentz? LeBron and Alex Caruso also prove that. Caruso statistically is one of the worst PGs LeBron has ever had yet he's also the PG LeBron did best with.
