Very true. That 2016 championship is one of the greatest stories in NBA history. LeBron coming back to Cleveland after winning 2 titles with the Heat. Then he and the Cavs going up against a historically great Warriors team, rallying from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Championship for his hometown and breaking Cleveland's long title drought. As well as 1.3 million celebrating at the parade in Downtown Cleveland, I'll never forget that day I felt like I was 10 feet tall. A Hollywood screenwriter couldn't write a better script than that.

You're talking about a guy that came into the NBA fresh out of high school. He shouldered that responsibility beautifully, with tremendous grace he not only met but exceeded expectations. Made it to his first nba finals at the age of 22, and if it wasn't for a subpar organization, he maybe would have won a championship or two in his first run in Cleveland. Then he accomplished his goal and dream and won a championship at 27. He brought the Miami Heat 2 championships. Brought a championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time and fullfiled his promise. Then he opened up a school in his hometown with the promise of a college scholarship for graduates. That last one I believe is his greatest achievement. Now he is third all time in scoring....and he isn't even about scoring. Now he's going to add to it, by winning his fourth championship, his third with a different team, and bringing a championship back to the Lakers. LeBron James; the greatest of all time. I'm telling you man, appreciate this, witness this, because we won't see it again for a long time.

SAGA EJ1 I’m glad you said that. You have to realize that doesn’t matter. It truly doesn’t. There are other teams with multiple all-stars and there have been others in the past that just couldn’t get it done. LeBron is a special talent. Put LeBron in place of Westbrook and he would’ve carried Melo and PG further. Put him in place of Harden or Westbrook and the Rockets might’ve won it all.
@2_2_4_34 жыл бұрын
@@YEDxFILMS you just put LeBron with top 10 players, when LeBron didn't have that he didn't even make the playoffs in the West. As a lifetime Cleveland everything fan that first two rings he got was hard to watch…the decision made me and every other fan sick but the way the story ended him coming back home and getting it done and breaking a city’s championship curse that lasted over 5 decades was one of the greatest story’s in the history of sports… the way he did it coming back down 3to 1 for the first time ever in finals history… to a 73 win team it was Awe inspiring and I’ll never forget it King James …. Wasn’t even mad he left agian… he did what he said he was gonna do

Just realizing that Stuart Scott was interviewing for that first chip. 😔 #ripStew
His mental growth over the years is visible. We can see it in these speeches. We really witnessed this human being become a man in real time, living in his destiny. He’s much more stoic in 2020 than he was in 2012. He’s the greatest basketball player of all-time, top-5 greatest athletes to have ever lived. More life LeBron!
