Congrats on clutching the top spot, Dim! This was definitely a tough case, I was feeling quite good about myself after the first two with an hour to go, but then this shot me down. Very inspiring to see your thorough LAMBDA prep, definitely something I need to try more of in future for FMWC.

I mailed the FMWC long time ago and they said no external softwares are allowed in on-site Vegas round, does this mean Excel Robot won’t be allowed there? As it’s an .exe that needs to be installed

Yes and no... you can't install anything on the Vegas computers because of the security settings, but you don't need an exe for Robot, so you could just bring it along on a thumb drive and use without install rights. (Although actually, Erik's company is sponsoring the MEWC, so Robot is going to be pre-loaded on all the computers in the arena anyway).

If you can still install things or use external softwares with a thumb drive, wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of said security settings though

@ As far as I understand it, the security will prevent you running an executable, but if you have an excel file with macros or lambdas or other things that don’t require install privileges to use, that’s fine - and Robot (surprisingly, I’ll admit!) falls in that latter category.
