I can only imagine it wasn't sitting in whatever spot they were at for many hours after they drove it there, let alone minutes...Highly doubt there's any worry in this clip.

Hold on… your paying 350+ thousand USD for a launch control system that can be easily over trumped by a basic Motec M130 or M150 in a 10,000 dollar WRX on E85 😅
@BrokenBeyondRepair Жыл бұрын
Yea man there are tons of vehicles that you can mod to get more out of them, the age old debate of best engine bang for your buck has been around for a stupid dumb time, I wouldn’t buy 1 personally because I agree with your statement but generally your paying for a entire car along side with the engine too

But isn’t the shifter not mounted to the wheel itself a bad thing? When shifting in curves
@inertiamonster Жыл бұрын
No, it's preferred because you always know which paddle is up shift and which is down shift regardless of where the wheel is orientated.
@zkiller195 Жыл бұрын
Exactly the opposite. With column mounted, you know left is down and right is up, regardless of how the steering wheel is oriented. With wheel mounted shifters, they're both all the way around the wheel in the turns
@JETZcorp Жыл бұрын
It's a preference thing. Wheel-mounted tends to be better if you're driving a bit conservatively and always on 3 and 9. Those who get into big hairy countersteer tend to prefer column mounted (but that's a big generalization). Porsche always do wheel mounted, Ferrari always do column. There's serious cred in both camps. The one thing everyone can agree on is that push-pull buttons like the earliest PDKs are trash.
@CRE8VALU Жыл бұрын
If you're not driving it like a TOOL, you never need more than 180 degrees of steering wheel travel, in which case your hands never need leave the wheel. Just like F1.
@zkiller195 Жыл бұрын
@@CRE8VALU Driving like a tool? Even in everyday driving you need to move the wheel more than that, let alone aggressive/track driving. The reason F1 cars don't turn as far is because the steering ratio is crazy tight. They'll run different steering racks for different events, but the most common is around 4:1 whereas most cars have a steering ratio from ~13:1-20:1. Even the most responsive steering racks in road vehicles more than twice as loose as the loosest formula 1 steering racks (which means you'd have to turn the steering wheel more than twice as far for the same response at the wheels). Those tight steering ratios are great for a quick and accurate response for a professional driver but would be way to sensitive for smooth and safe driving on the streets under normal circumstances.
