Great video, thanks Johnny, and it was nice to see Paul join you again. Bummed you didn’t go in to Mousehole. My wife and I spent a week there a few years ago and did some lovely walks. I used to work for Cable & Wireless and Porthcurno was (and still is) a CLS - Cable Landing Station. The fibre optics now go into a house up on the cliff (looks like a normal bungalow). Phew! I get exhausted just watching these videos. There is so much beautiful scenery and so much interesting background information. The 'OWL' rock we saw should have a 'twinning' arrangement with the 'VICTORIA' tunnel on the Lotschberg railway in Switzerland. The tunnel is only 29 metres long. @ We had our Honeymoon in the presumably granite building in Church Street Helston in the s to the right of the National School 1828 and whose rear wall was damp due to abutting the church. Vid., Google Maps. That was after a 400 mile trip from Yorkshire in July 1985. The next morning on the Sunday we were awakened by a cacophony of church bells that went on for at least half an hour. As mentioned previously in another of your Cornish videos regarding prosperity that street was half derelict with boarded-up cottages. Unfortunately my colleague who retired to Bojewan near Pendeen and was a a director of the Geevor Mine Museum died just before his 80th. birthday last May. We stopped visiting Cornwall as with a young 1 year old child in 1989 it took from 9:30 to 7:45 by car in blazing heat just to reach Birmingham. There was then a ferry before the road bridge between Denmark and Sweden from North Shields to Goteborg so it was easier to take a car to Sweden and the island of Gotland by another ferry (recommended) than endure British holiday traffic. Enjoyed your Swiss videos as my school friend emigrated there in 81 and ran the research department for Bally shoes and later the Swiss Army in Berne when the former firm moved to the Italian speaking part for cost reasons following a takeover. Sadly he too died prematurely in 2020. Keep up the good work. Better than anything on the proselytising British media;the new woke version of Puritanism and‘Thought Control’. As a former Historian I can assure you that‘What goes around comes around’ just as individuals are praised and later denigrated as is occurring with Winston Churchill.👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
