Existã multe cuvinte în graiul moldovenesc pe care românii le înțeleg fără probleme însă fie nu le mai folosesc (arhaisme), fie le folosesc doar în anumite regiuni (regionalisme). Exemple: bortă= gaură, groapă; ospeție=vizită; păp(u)șoi =porumb; cușmă=căciulă, harbuz=pepene verde. Alte cuvinte ori expresii nu există în limba română, fiind împrumuturi sau calcuri din limba rusă ( de exemplu expresia "Cu Anul Nou" reprezintã traducerea literală ale expresiei "c новым годом", adică "La mulți ani" cu ocazia Anului Nou). Limba română din România și cea din Republica Moldova au evoluat diferit din 1812 când partea estică a Moldovei istorice, cea dintre Prut si Nistru, a fost anexată de Rusia. Limba română din Principate a fost influențată mult de franceză iar româna din Transilvania și Banat a primit împrumuturi lexicale din maghiară, germană și sârbă. Un al doilea val de influențe lexicale a venit în perioada postbelică odată cu dezvoltarea industrială (în special influențe din franceză și germană) iar după 1990 au apărut foarte multe neologisme din engleză.

Trebuie să recunosc, e un lucru bun că la liceu v-au învătat să faceți copy-paste... 😄😄😄 Dar tot nu mi-ai răspuns la întrebarea legată de scrisoarea lui Neacșu scrisă în alfabetul chirilic (și pe care am descifrat-o singur, by the way...) Încă ceva, domnu' cu liceul: cuvintele "român", "România" si derivatele lor se scriu cu "â", nu cu "î". Asta e o invenție rusească ce a fost impusă în perioada stalinistă.

Dacă pretinzi că ai citit toate acele lucrări istorice (deși mă îndoiesc sincer), cu siguranță că ai găsit următoarele pasaje care infirmă inepțiile pe care le scrii (indiciu: lucrarea nu e scrisă de un istoric de la București, nici de vreun istoric muntean, ardelean ori dobrogean, ci de un moldovean faimos): 1) "Arată-să pre scurt precum niamul moldovénilor, munténilor, ardelénilor (carii cu toţii cu un nume de obşte români să chiamă) să fie din rodul său hirişi romani şi precum Dachia au fost descălecată de Traian-împărat cu cetăţéni şi slujitori romani" 2) Înainte de toate, chiar dacă acest neam a fost împărțit în trei ținuturi de căpetenie, totuși toți se cheamă cu același nume de români, disprețuind, adică dând de-o parte numele de valahi, care le-a fost dat de către popoarele barbare. Căci românii care trăiesc și astăzi în Transilvania, deasupra fluviului Olt, în ținutul numit Maramureș, nu-și dau numele de valah, ci de români (martori imi sunt toți locuitorii tuturor națiilor din Transilvania). Cei din Valahia (pe care grecii din vremuri apropiate îi numesc ungrovlahi, iar noi, moldovenii, îi numim munteni - căci au luat în stăpanire mai multe locuri muntoase) își dau și ei la fel numele de români, iar țării lor de Țara Româneasca, adică în latinește: Terra Romana.”

The world "oleacă" is the fast-speaking form of "o leacă", where "o" is the indefinite article used for singular feminine nouns. In this case the noun "leacă" is feminine. So it would be ”o leacă” (singular) and „două leci” the plural form of the word in Romanian language, quite obviously influenced by Latin. Where the word leacă comes from, its etymology, I leave it to you to find out. PS: Wikipedia's article is *WRONG* about the etymology of the word oleacă!

Romanian is not a hard language. But don't be fool trying to speak correctly grammar. Just learn words,many words. Many words are similar to Italian,Latin,Spanish,French words . So indentify the most used words first then words with similarly in European countries. It is by far the most occidental language from Central/Eastern Europe.

Yes. There is no "Moldovan language". It's just Romanian all around. They learn "ROMANIAN language and literature" and "History of ROMANIANS". There is no different history, language or literature. Sure, people in "Republic of Moldova" have a bit of a different accent and intonation. But that's everywhere

They are Romanians. Stalin convinced they they are a new "Moldovan" nation. Those that could not be convinced live now in the Kazakh steppes. There are 40'000 Romanians in Kazakhstan 😢. EDIT: to make it clear, hundreds of thousands of Romanians were deported by Stalin from this area that is not called "Republic of Moldova". The real Moldova was a separate Principality that united in 1859 with Wallachia thereby forming Romania.. I'll let you read the Wikipedia article in Principality of Moldova. Btw Moldova and Moldavia are two different English words that just cause confusion. There is no "Moldavia". Only Moldova. Who was split in half by Stalin. And Stalin deported hundreds of thousands of Romanians to nice sunny places like Kazahstan

Most citizens of Moldova are in fact Romanian so they will know and speak the language. But in places with many Russian speakers (especially the so-called Transnistria) you may have more luck with any language than Romanian because of the whole orc propaganda.

I think that translation that homegirl did about coming empty handed, I think meant something a bit more ...well let's say ..expletive. Cu....in Portuguese means ass lol, so he came with his hands on his ass...lol is what I think that meant. Venut=to come and Mana=hand like Mano in Spanish or Portuguese and Cu= well......anyway...lol

Oh sweat! A Brotha' kicking that Moldovan language as US Ambassador, pretty cool. I had a Romanian girlfriend here in the states for a short while, she was very ...excitable lol, my nerves....lol, but the language has a very strong latin base. I speak Spanish and Portuguese pretty fluently, I have learned some Italian and Russian. I should be able to pick this up pretty quickly, that means with about 200 hours of study or a bit less. I certainly would learn it if I was going to be there for a few months or a year.

Yes, it's the same exact language. The youtuber here tries to sow confusion purporting there are different words in use in Republic of Moldova. The same exact words we.also use in Romania. Absolutely ridiculous. They also learn "ROMANIAN language and literature" and "History of ROMANIANS" and have to pass exams in these subjects. It is absolutely ridiculous that the western media does not debunk this idea of "Moldovan language". It is as if I were to invent the "Massachusettian language". Beyond ridiculous!
