This was produced by a group of students, probably filmed with they mobile phone, and edited with some free linux tool. We only saw it 2 days ago, and we think that its poor quality is part of what makes it cool!

Thanks! This is the only thing that has helped me understand particle physics at all, and believe me I have tried! I agree with the other poster - Schoolhouse Rock rocks and you should get the vid out to high schoolers and maybe middle schoolers. Also the backup dancers are great; make sure they know that. If you do any more editing, I would suggest changing the font color of the subtitles to something darker when you have the light background. Great job!

Brilliant! Deserves to be put on a gold plated DVD and sent out on the next Interstellar satellite to be launched by NASA. Any ET'ers that might one day find it will conclude that those Earthlings know their particle physics stuff and will cancel their own LHC project and wait for us to (hopefully) just send another DVD with the CERN LHC Test results in rap release 2! Really cool Alpinekat!

I reckon this is great because i've read a lot about particle physics to know the LHC is definitely worth it and since a lot of people these days listen to rap music, this is a great way of communicating the information to people who don't like to read books.

Precisely. This is not meant to be an Academic nor scientific channel, but a communication medium for scientific vulgarization targeted to non-Physicists. Great job, I wish it was in the charts. Why shouldn't our folk music be about 'stuff' we are doing today. I don't think I have bothered to listen to pop lyrics since about 1980 but I listened to every word in this song. Nice one Alpinekat you lucky person.

And always the ultimate unspoken commandment is "Thou shalt not question!" But we question. We break that commandment as a matter of course. The work to which we have set ourselves is the liberating of the imagination, the harnessing of imagination to humankind's deepest sense of creativity.

There are a few exceptions to that because there are indeed particles which are different than their anti-particle partners. Google for CP Violation. ;-) The LHC experiments will also try to look for a explanation to this.
